There’s a chance they don’t make the playoffs. They have the cardinals right on their tails, sf and padres. They’ve played 166 games since loss to Mets in London they are 88-78. That’s only cause they beat down on a historically bad Rockies team 7 times. Meaning they are 3 games over .500 in a 159 stretch entering today. That’s mediocrity at its finest. You aren’t making it to the playoffs with no games left against the Rockies being a .500 team from June onward.

If they lose today that’s 2 games over .500 against teams not named the Rockies in their last 160 games

He’s at fault so is Dombrowski. He’s had a bunch of resources given to him and he’s been awful with it outside of schwarber and possibly turner this year. Like he traded O’hoppe for marsh. He traded Bailey falter for Rodolfo Castro. He traded for Soto who was a bum. He traded for Austin hays. He gave Nola a 7 year contract, he gave Walker 18 mil per year, he gave Kepler $10 mil, he gave Romano $10 mil per. Like currently he has $38 mil dedicated to 3 bad players. Almost.... this horse crap analytics has done neither of these young guys any favors. ..... you have been around long enough to see some guys have to get into a rhythym at the plate....... No we have to have a platoon with players that do not have the mindset for a platoon.

BTW...No one platooned Larry Bowa.... check out his yearly BA's

Then leave kemp at 3rd... bring up the kid miller at short.... stott at 2nd..... freakin harper at first when hes done with his Mike Trout impressions.... use bohm at 1st until then. Schwarber DH.

Bite the bullet and bring up that catcher Tait from aa. Let him watch and learn... Crawford for OF depth.... let him watch and learn.

Same goes for the pitching...... Nola ? Walker ? GONE !! Put the kids in there with out the threat of being sent down...... they will learn.

A couple things

A agree on the rhythm thing with platoon particularly to Rojas. You look at his numbers when marsh was out and he was doing really well. As soon as marsh came back and he was every couple days he dropped. It’s why Crawford if they bring him up at some point has to play everyday cause he needs the playing time to develop and not be sitting on the bench.

Tbh i don’t want marsh playing in general. Hes better defensively in left but he sucks as a hitter. He was good the first 3 weeks after his call up. He’s been bad besides his OBP over the next 3. May 1-20: .389/.436/.936. May 21-today: .183/.341/.644. He just isn’t an everyday player. Also think it’d be much easier for Turner to play a corner spot than CF. Turner played some centerfield nearly 8 years ago. I think you’d be better off with Rojas in CF and Turner in LF until Crawford is ready.

Tait isn’t in AA. He’s in Clearwater in A ball and 18 years old. They aren’t bringing him up to the majors from A ball. Why his projected mlb date is mid 2027 or 2028. Don’t bring up Crawford unless you intend to play him everyday. Don’t want him rotting on the bench for guys like marsh and Rojas. He needs the playing time and at bats. So if he’s brought up then one of those guys is sitting everyday.

As much as I’d love to trade Walker and Nola, not getting crap for them due to their contract along with their performance. Likely have to eat money and part of their contract. Phillies won’t do that particularly with Nola. Pretty much stuck with them until their contracts are done unless Nola turns it around and they can trade him to a team desperate for SP.
