Kerkering has been nlcs form his last 3 appearances. Got out of it just now but not good he seems to be allowing a ton of runners on lately. Last 3 appearances: 2.1 IP, 5 hits, 3 walks and 3 ERs.

Good. I’d rather play the Mets or Brewers than the Braves or Padres. Eventually our luck is going to run out against Atlanta in the postseason, I’d rather avoid them.

There’s a chance the Phillies might get brewers or Braves, dbacks get the 5 seed and Mets miss the playoffs 

So essentially 

— Braves win tomorrow they clinch a playoff spot. (the most wins the dbacks can get is 89 even if they win tomorrow. Braves hold tiebreaker over dbacks if both have 89 wins (Mets also hold tiebreaker over dbacks))

—lose tomorrow + dbacks lose Sunday

—win 1 of next 3 games 

dbacks get in:

— win + Mets lose 2 of 3 games/or all 3 
— lose + Mets lose next 3 games

— win + Braves and Mets lose tomorrow (as Mets sweep Braves DH then Braves eliminated. Braves sweep Mets in DH then Mets eliminated. If split DH then Mets would be eliminated as they’d only get to 88 wins and dbacks and Braves would have 89) 

mets get in:

— win 2 of next 3 games
— dbacks lose Sunday; win 1 of next 3 

 

That is not a WS team.

Hoskins avg, OBP and OPS are down but it’s his first year back from his acl. Yet he hit 26 HRs and 82 rbi. Which is what he basically averaged his last 3 years here (when playing 162 game season). he did it in 130 games.

If they didn't have Schwarber they probably would have. The only other thing would have been to put Bryce back in RF and put Rhys at first.

Hays has a back issue. I’m guessing he’s not going to be on the playoff roster for nlds. I kind rather have Stevenson then Kennedy tbh.

He has a back issue from what? Sitting on his rear end too much? It can't be from playing baseball. I agree with you about Stevenson.

Idk but I’m guessing in one of the games he played since coming back. Trade looks worse and worse as time goes on. Two years in a row our bat acquisition at the deadline has been useless 

DD and Howie can have a contest on who is worse in regard to trade deadline acquisitions. They are both god awful.

They coasted to 95 wins.  They never had a must-win game or series all season.
