Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Interesting to see the contract projections for these guys. Spoiler alert: There are a lot of Eagles on this list.

Ravens offered 133 guaranteed I think. I doubt they go to 205

My impression, without actual facts ( your specialty) was that most of his tackles on rushing came after a 5 or 6 yard gain, and late in coverages...Uphill LB, not a downhill LB...

Alex can play, and hit, but he failed the eye test for me. Always trailing, tackles from behind... Good numbers tho, to make the list..

I guess...

Yes, it was a joke for the he led the Eagles in tackles crowd last year

Hard to tell sometimes...

Let me preface this post so nobody freaks out with this is tongue in cheek.

If the NFL is rigged, they sure are waiting a long time for Hurts to be done for the year so another Eagles back up QB wins a Super Bowl.

No, not really if you have your finger on the pulse of this place.

I think a lot of people don't get what makes a great leader. It isn't that you are the best coach, or the smartest in the room. It's that you know how/when to delegate, when to step in, and how to put people in the best position to succeed.

Sirianni is not the best coach, nor is he the smartest on this team. He knows when something isn't working, like him calling plays, and is smart enough to know someone else is better at it than he is. He puts a lot of people in positions to succeed.  To take a 4 win team to the playoffs the following year, and then the next to the Super Bowl with a QB that half the fan base wanted to get rid of (myself included) in the offseason, is not something you are just riding along with.

The players really buy into what Siri is selling, and that's all that matters.

Great leaders come in many shapes and sizes... it is a very challenging thing to identify.

Who would want to coach this guy, and have to deal with his contract crippling the team

@Mike31mt This was the stat you were asking about a week or two ago.

So what you're trying to say is... Miles Sanders is 9 times better than Kenneth Gainwell!

Which 'he' is that quote referencing?   Or are they all clones of each other?

Here is a quick reference of the Eagles.  Eagles currently have 4.4 in cap room next year.  Obviously there is some things with Graham, Cox and Kelce that will create some room.

If the Eagles keep the current picks, they will cost north of 6 million.

Obviously the first years on these deals will be lower than the average, but the average for these players is 89.05 million.

Easy choice to cut Edwards out of that equation. He is absolutely not worth that. White and Dean is the future starting next year. Brings it down to 76M. Sounds easy for Howie. Considering some will be salary, and some will be spread out via bonuses, and void years to help.

Thats a very reasonable price for Sanders. Dont really mind the years either. But that should be more front loaded so its easy to move out of that 3rd year if we want to.

Damn, @TorontoEagle, I guess that Canadien winter is gonna last the rest of the year, or does that mean winter is cancelled?

Honestly hoping this doesn't become another Frank Reich situation. I get him getting a job, I hope we also dont lose the number 2 guy behind him.

I'd be stunned if Steichen even wanted to go to Indy. With everything that happened with Reich and Sirianni making it a rallying cry for that game, can't imagine Sirianni told him good things about Indy.

Regarding the NfL Rigged question...

They have a mandate to grow and sell the game..expand overseas, South America, these guys are playing the long game.

I firmly believe there is a discussion(s) about what matchups will garner the best viewing numbers. Starts with scheduling.

Outcomes may not be scripted but a tweak here and there can change a game's complexion. Throw the Flag, or don't.

It's been said before but a Multi Billion dollar business does not leave a lot to chance. Steering the result must be considered..if a Team can overcome the "steering" so be it. They will have earned it.

New York should have chimed in on the sideline catch that wasn't, in spite of Shanahan not challenging. They didn't. We won. NFL  wanted it. They got it.

It's like trying to outwit the Oddsmakers in Vegas...you can't, they're too good at their job, subtlety and results..I'm not discounting real competition, just saying the End Game is to have the most desirable Teams in the Big Show...ratings, visibility, money. NFL Wins...

Always.

Maybe it's someone still coaching in the SB.

Bieniemy maybe?

In a scenario where the league is steering games to an outcome, not outright rigging them, who do you think the league would "want" to win the Super Bowl ??

Poor Fred. Quebec is not Canada though, so no effect on the rest of us

Might be his only shot at a head coaching gig, just because no one else wants it.

This is what I was thinking. Plus just being a HC would be incentive enough
