The players and coaches aren't... they can't be.   The GM made some moves that make you question their interest in winning this year.

At 2-0 I have a lot more concern about the defense right now than the offense.  Even being down three starters, there has to be a point where you force the other team(s) to kick FGs.  So far after two games the Eagles have allowed 7 TDs, and I'm not sure if the opponents have even tried a FG yet ....

Sure, the D is the bigger concern at this point which was to be expected.  Having said that, they did stop the Pats on a couple of drives in Eagles territory and technically the Jefferson fumble was a stopped drive as well.  Let's see what happens if and when the D gets healthy.

Team on the field might not but doesn’t mean their front office isn’t. They want to be able to grab Caleb Williams. I wouldn’t be shocked if they move guys at the deadline.

They're having a fire sale. Simmons, Josh Jones traded. Hollywood apparently on the block.

I'd be more concerned about Hurts regressing if teams were daring him to throw it with their schemes like they were early last year. The Vikings essentially sold out their run D and short pass game in order to try and take away the deep shot.

This might be more of a macro trend in the league and a shift coming with how a lot of defenses don’t want to give up the big plays anymore. Hurts still connected on a few last night and you had guys like Tua go off last week, but this was an interesting piece. Makes me think offenses might be shifting back to more of a run-focus.

Good for Travis if true

Torn pec = 3-4 months, so we're looking at end of December at best.

We did play Bradberry in the slot at training camp. I'm guessing that happens again.

Fielding a competent nickel corner will be the biggest problem we face going forward.

Here's the post-game wrap up of this week's Predictions

@Iggles25 and @bbabraham had the closest prediction at 34-27.  @Mortimer and @pgcd3 were close behind.

There were an abundance of correct tiebreaker predictions this week, but one of then stood out above all the rest (in my opinion).  That one was

@FranklinFldEBUpper's "The words "boo birds" is uttered by someone in the broadcast crew at some point."

The other winning tiebreaker predictions were:
@NCTANK's "3 rushingTD's"
@twistr's "Swift/Hurts combine for more than 130 yards rushing"
@Ace Nova's "Swift gets at least 5 touches"
@Parrot Head's "Eagles over 200 on the ground"
@Saltpeter's "D'Andre Swift 15 carries"
@EagleJoe8's "2 QB sneak TDs"
@Connecticut Eagle's "Again, points off of turnovers will be the difference"
@eagle45's "Cousins goes over 330 in the air."
@Captain F's "Hockenson scores twice"

and one that might be right, or might be wrong.  More information is needed to tell.  If you have that information, please share it.  That one is:
@DEagle7's "Slay allows more receptions than Jobe"

For the Buccaneers game I will start taking predictions on Wednesday.  You can make a prediction prior to Wednesday, but I won't see it unless it is tagged with @mattwill

The final list of 71 predictions is as follows, with 56 correctly predicting an Eagles win and 15 predicting a Vikings win (the ones highlighted in yellow)

Not necessarily. Depends on severity.

Sweat had a great game last night. Was very difficult to stop and he really got to cousins

Pretty sure Hockenson destroying us was a winner. 7-66 2 TD.

There was a play in that game where he just absolutely demolished the LT and cousins was fortunate to get it off right as he got there

Whens maddox contract up? I wouldn't be giving him an extension

Nope, Jefferson's 11-136 was the Destroyer.  Hockenson was a PT Boat.

However, if you can come back with a reply using a germane analogy, your rank could get promoted. 😀

2024 is his last real year under contract.

Wow.  Harsh ruling on the Siposs performance.  He forced a turnover and was pivotal on the 61 yard FG at the half.

Well you at least have to give it to Captain F. Good call on his part.

I'm not as worried about him as how uncomfortable he looks. He's way more mentally tough than Wentz and I think he's more mature and smarter than Allen.

Some of that is probably getting up to game speed after not playing, but the OC isn't putting him in a position to succeed with the game plans or adjustments. Shane was able to get him going and into a rhythm. You saw O'Brien make adjustments to get Jones going. I'm glad they started running last night but they have too many weapons to look that flat and Hurts showed a lot of talent IF the OC can put him in a place to succeed. He's not so far.

With Quez dealing with a hamstring injury, are they going to elevate Covey or Ward next week? I would like to bring up Ward, he can just fair catch punts and he still has the ability to run routes. Maybe OZ gets more involved, I don't think he even has a target yet.

Jefferson might have been the destroyer to his own team with his fumble into the end zone. After that play the game completely flipped
