I just don't see it.

NFC East is the best division in the NFC and they play the AFC East which is the best division in the AFC.  Slap on the 1st place schedule and Eagles have one of thr hardest schedules imo.

AFC North is a better division in my opinion

I don't see it.  Browns are going to be severely handicapped by one od the worst QBs in the league.

@mattwill

Eagles 25, Pats 19

Hurts TD rushing, AJ Brown TD

One of my biggest pieces of intrigue is who will get the most touches: Sift?  Penny?  Gainwell?  I like this backfield a lot, and I think it may come down to health, hot hand, and situation.   I have DeAndre over 100 yards rushing, so I'm on the same page as you.

You can't say that for certain, Texans Watson was a Top 5 QB

It's a crap shoot at this point but I think the AFC North probably has less big questions at QB.  The 2 questions are Watson returning to form and Pickett improving.  The AFC East arguably has 3 teams that are Super Bowl contenders vs. 2 for the AFC North.  Cincy is probably the best team between the 2 divisions. I think Miami and the Bills are 2 and 3.

I am just not sure what to make of the NFC East.  The Giants seem like the team believes they are much improved.  I don't see how they could be contenders.  Everyone is gassing up the Cowboys' defense but I am not convinced about that team.  I think the loss of Kellen Moore is significant.  I don't care about it being McCarthy's offense allgedly when Schottenheimer is the OC.  He has never been a top 10 coordinator.  He is a conservative play caller and McCarthy wasn't some genius in Green Bay. He benefited by Rodger basically calling the plays he wanted.  I think that dynamic will cause tension with Dak.  If their offense isn't producing, it is going to impact their defensive production.  They are still not a great run stopping team.  I also think the mobility of Howell and Bienemy's addition are underrated.  Washington may well be a wild card team.  That being said, I think the Eagles and Dallas are the likely Super Bowl contenders just because the NFC is weak.

I am a believer in Pickett. Lions got all the hype but Steelers also finished 7-2 to end the season and now Watt is back healthy. Tomlin will have those boys in the playoffs this year.

You don't let the 4th ranked OC walk out the door and expect to be better. I have the Cowboys missing the playoffs.

Looks at the 'news', see/hears about politicians(leadership) of our country getting a slap on the wrist - or not even that - for what would be a felony for you or I. If he/she can do that with little or not consequence, why shouldn't I? And no I don't think this is political, it applies to both sides.

Everyone else is breaking the law with barely a penalty, why shouldn’t I approach goes against what I was taught as a child and tried to pass on. My folks always taught me, two wrongs don’t make a right.  When I would say after pushing the rules, "but Johnny…”, I would get the if everyone was jumping off a cliff… response (probably years before I knew what a lemming was).  Used the same responses with my kid.  Stealing isn’t a victimless crime.  Identity theft is definitely harmful.

Sure, why not.

10-7

I like the idea of having Gainwell and Swift on the field at the same time.  I think either could work effectively from the slot.  Start em both in the backfield and then move one in motion to keep the defenses guessing

Texans Watson was 3 years ago.  There hasn't been a single instance since his return to the NFL on the Brown where he hasn't looked like one of the worst QBs in the league.

He isn't the same QB that he used to be until proven otherwise.  He was a disastrous move by the Browns with the contract they gave him and it is going to tank their franchise and waste their talent.

Washington is interesting.  They have a pretty good receiving corps, the front 4 is strong on defense, and Bienemy is an upgrade at coordinator.  The wildcard is Howell.   How good can he be?  If he's competent, that's a 10 win team.  Given the new energy from coordinators, it wouldn't shock me if they were a wildcard team this year.

Tank their franchise, yeah okay

today I learned Kevin Kolb never actually played a down for the Bills.

For those who want them I've added the tiebreaker/bonus entries to the tracking sheet.  Here is what I have so far

Yeah a fully guaranteed quarter of a billion contract for a completely washed QB is something that can tank a franchise.
