It’s a commercial, I’m switching back and forth.

Yeah if the first QB to lift the trophy in Philly has his number in play they should as well. Shady was good but not retire the number good. Same with Randall.

Honestly, 92 left us for GB. Time to open that up as well.

They'd freak out years from now if #1 was given up to someone

Uar Bernard met fellow Nigerian, Adem Bona tonight. Now Bernard has that stink on him.

I dont care about the draft 2 years from now. Its already too long to wait for next years.

Id possibly prefer Woodson as the throw in. But I appreciate the fact that Boutte was once tought to be a 1st round talent. And began to break out last year in New England as a starting X WR for the championship contenders. Is he great? No. Is he a satisfactory starter who fills a role we need? Yes. We have no starting quality X on the roster unless youre makign Smith that and I didnt think that was the plan.

1.Watson, 2.Reed, 3.Doubs,4. Golden, 5. Wicks....was the WR5 on a shiddy WR corps. Hes Jabar Gaffney again. People thought we could take this WR off someone's bench and make him a quality starter just by giving him the opportunity. Wicks is not that guy...

I’m sure Howie was made aware that Boutte was available for trade when he traded for Wicks and drafted Lemon.

You’re being short-sighted in wanting next year’s 2 instead of a future 1.

I absolutely loathe these Boston beastie boy wannabes. Unbelievably cringeworthy!

First and foremost, Im impatient.

Secondly, everyone wanted to say this draft stunk and next years pick would be better. As soon as they are finding out they arent even getting a next year pick, theyre all ok with it. That actually does suck. Just like everyone is gung ho for sucky wicks, now its so cool to be getting a pick 3 drafts away from where we potentially could have had one.

Draft class strength or not, its always been universally accepted that future picks are 1 round less valuable than current picks. To get a pick 2, even 3 drafts away is NOT the type of value Howie was looking for. No one will ever convince me of that.

At this point, make him happy with some extra guarantees and keep him. Play him with Smith and Lemon and make an incredible WR corps.

Buck Foston, dirty little a wholz

Wish the 6ers were scoring better. Should be running away with this right now.

Boston always goes on runs so not having a larger lead will bite them at some point.

Ugly azzz Celtics, they all have melting playdoh face

I’d prefer next year’s 1, but that might not be available. In that case, I’d much rather have a future 1 than a 2.

Ill take the 2. Im ready to go go shopping, potentially for a QB in that draft. 2 from AJ Brown, whatever we can get for McKee. 3rd round comp pick. We need to be loaded up.

And guess what happens if we tried to package the next years 1st in a package? Its generally valued the same as the same years 2nd anyway.

Good half for the 6ers

I bet you just about any front office interested in moving down would gladly take a 2028 1 rather than a 2027 2.

I’m glad Howie is our GM. He’d destroy you in trade negotiations.

I dont understand why this year everyone forgot how future picks were valued...

We have all followed the team through many offseasons here....

Dont forget how Bill B was infamous for trading 2nds for future 1sts. That only worked for him because teams wanted those 2nds.

A current pick has always had more value than a future pick. Always.

No, not always. Just this year the Jets told Dallas they wanted their 2027 1 instead of the 2026 1. The Jaguars discussed trading their 1 next year for a late 1 this year plus a day 2 pick.

Howie himself said it was a market inefficiency trading current picks for future picks in higher rounds. It’s why he has done it so infrequently. Times are changing.

always.

So anyway, at what point does time value degradation become enough for you to reconsider? Are you going to take a 2062 1st over a 2nd this year? Like, where do you draw the line then?

You can only trade three years out. So let me ask you this: would you trade your 2029 first for a 2027 3?

My bold prediction is not only does he make the team but he makes All Pro this year.

I understand that, but there has always been time value degradation. Always.

Technically the 2029 1st is equal value to the 2027 3rd.
