DJ Moore who AJ Brown is infinitely better than got traded for a 2nd. Boutte is a mediocre WR. That's terrible value. Any potential AJ Brown deal has to be viewed through the lens of what the established market is. And that was that DJ Moore got traded for a 2nd round value and Waddle got traded for a 1st and 3rd round value.

Now if one wants to argue that 2027 picks are worth more than 2026 picks because it's viewed as a much better draft, ok fine that's fair, but if you're going to be talking about 2028 picks then that doesn't apply and on no planet it should it be any worse than a 1st and 3rd unless Howie got ripped off per the market and I've never known Howie to be one to willingly get taken in any deal. A 2nd rounder will always be on the table for AJ. It'll be there in October and it'll be there next March. Taking a 2nd this year would be amateur hour.

Yes. Waddle was basically traded for a high 2nd rounder and high 4th rounder in a bad draft. He's younger and not on the decline, such as AJ, with low concern on injuries, on a pretty fair contract. AJ wants huge new money I'm sure as part of any deal with Pats. AJ won't be on 2026 Philadelphia Eagles. It's now or never. One bidder here clearly. The rest of market probably would want a bargain or forget it. One can also look at Diggs, Metcalf and Pickens recent deals and bring the value down for AJ based on last year's play and being an old age 29 this season. Being a bigger guy who's showing signs of decline in last 2 years. Still a good WR, but a ticking time bomb most likely.

it's too bad Buffalo already executed that trade. i think they'd gladly give a 1st for AJ given they know the Josh Allen window may be closing in the near future.
