I understand that, but there has always been time value degradation. Always.

Technically the 2029 1st is equal value to the 2027 3rd.

So would you trade the 2029 1 for a 2027 3?

I dont like waiting. But a 3rd isnt as attractive as a 2nd either so thats a tougher decision than taking the 2nd (and player) in the AJ Brown trade. The player sweetens the deal too.

Would you trade a 29 1 for a 27 3 and Boutte?

I dont think there would be any reason to do such a thing.

Ill take the 2. Im ready to go go shopping, potentially for a QB in that draft. 2 from AJ Brown, whatever we can get for McKee. 3rd round comp pick. We need to be loaded up.

And guess what happens if we tried to package the next years 1st in a package? Its generally valued the same as the same years 2nd anyway.

Thats why fools fail the marshmallow test

it's too bad Buffalo already executed that trade. i think they'd gladly give a 1st for AJ given they know the Josh Allen window may be closing in the near future.

Why not give a 2028 first rounder for him and have he and Moore?

I wonder if anyone can remember a time where eagles fans gained additional excitement over the fact that we only traded a future pick for someone instead of a current pick. hmm...

Seems like everyone's had their memories erased to simp for wicks, and picks 2 years way lately.

Weird times.

So we are going to take back a lesser pick to get Boutte to be the 4th or 5th WR? No chance. If they want to throw in Boutte with a first round pick, fine. Howie isn't taking back a 2nd and Boutte over a 1st though.

I'm just saying out current WR group doesn't preclude him in a trade.

Yes, some people thought Carson Strong was better than Jalen Hurts

One person. He loved him.

Boston is already preparing for game 7 resting Tatum and Brown.

That’s a wild decision to rest their starters all 4th, especially when the lead got down to 13 or whatever it was.

yeah 6ers were pushing the pace up like 18 like a bunch of idiots without a head coach.

Its 15 now with time left...

Tatum is favoring his calf though....

6ers definitely the team to come out flat in a game 7.

Thank you to the Sixers for bringing the excitement tonight after the Flyers delivered that snoozer until York hit that great game winning shot in OT.

Sixers haven't beat the Celtics in a playoff series since the 1982 ECF. If the Sixers win Game 7 and Embiid has even just a decent game then it will be the top moment of Embiid's career, especially since the Celtics are the #2 seed and won the title just a couple years ago.

They need to trade Embiid while they can

Just tried looking up the age of Uar Bernard and Google is saying born in 2004 or 2005 with no actual month or day?

We really have no idea how old this guy is then. That jacked and athletic from a 3rd world country, he could be in his late 20s.

I believe it’s an ego thing with Howie, he won’t take less than a 1. Even if he has to flip back a 3 and the 1 won’t be until 2029

A big part of future picks being worth less than current picks is the unknown time limit of the GM’s position that’s making a trade; why not get picks today that can save your job? Howie doesn’t need to think in those terms. Take advantage of the GMs who are forced to devalue future assets

Bursts like this make basketball amazing. And live it is 2x better.

I saw Iverson play the Lakers in LA and I was about 10 rows off the floor. So incredible. Fastest I ever saw someone move in person (in the context of something like a game, not like in a straight-line race). He grabbed a rebound and took it coast to coast. Nuts.

He is stated everywhere as 21y.o. so let's just stick with that until somebody proves otherwise

Oh man you should call Howie and let him know. Thanks for doing that for the team and most importantly, the Blog.

Nice sequence - BOS shooting below 30% from 3 and around 50% from the line is a good path for 6ers victory.

Wonder if we will get the Boston fan ref for game 7 again.
