offtopic. But this fascinates me.

@TEW @vikas83 isn’t this your line of work? You sending JP Morgan a resume?

The idea that we would trade for Boutte is laughable.

LOL - was just reading that. I started in investment banking out of college. Still work in finance, but left banking in 2004.

I’m glad to learn you were bored. It confirms things.

It's the truth. Worst crowd I've seen for a playoff hockey game, especially considering it was a potentially series ending game against a rival. Absolutely dead of energy and that lack of energy really then transfered to the Flyers on the ice who were doing next to nothing offensively all game until York had his nice game winning goal.

Yep, except for 2008, 2009, and 2018 when the Crosby led Penguins team beat the Flyers in the playoffs.

I saw that and knew he got his news from Fran. And as usual he is the most accurate reporter.

Expecting Aaron Donald to come out of retirement. He looks like he can still play and you think he would be itching too with how close the Rams are and how that defense has really been built into a near top unit.

This guy is the perfect 1 year deal backup vet for our line. Ashame.

Hmmmm, lots of men have some Boutte stashed on the side.

The NBA is basically volleyball at this point. Volleyball is bump, set, spike. Nothing more. The NBA is 3-point chuckers, alley-oop slam dunk, foul shots. Nothing more -- and a complete waste of time watching the first 46 minutes of any game.

I think people are remembering basketball wrong from other eras. JMO but If you watch an entire game on YouTube I think a lot of people would be surprised vs what they think they remember. You’ll see a very slow basic product with very little complexity to the defense and wide open lanes for dunkers and layups. They weren’t even allowed to play much zone.

I agree the 3 pt shot has changed the game drastically but it’s not like they weren’t trying to hit threes back then they just couldn’t. Bird had like 3 seasons and he shot 25% from three. They even moved it closer at one point during the MJ era. These guys now are just too good. Centers hitting from the logo is insane.

So what percentage of snaps does everyone think Stowers will play at X ?

Zero%

I figure he'll get about 400 snaps, but very few would be on the outside as teams will cover him with a big DB. So, not a ton of advantage given he doesn't have a refined release package.

Yeh...that had me cracking up, not so much fascination, just find it hysterically funny. Crazy story, but wait, there is more!

@Joe Ball I see that my post quoted you for some reason. One of the glitches with this board, people will get quoted randomly. 😀

Have you tried insulting someone's wife's cannons?

I don't know if a skit like this has already been made on the various shows out there. But this should be a skit. Sex/relationship group therapy for public figures caught in scandals. Vrabel, Hajdini, Coldplay concert CEO & HR, etc.

No but I did send my resume to JP Morgan...going into my interview like:

Lorna Hajdini, an executive director at JPMorgan Chase, is accused in a lawsuit of coercing a married junior banker into humiliating sex acts' over months. : r/XGramatikInsights

If he couldn't stop her it sounds like he could get a job playing OLine for the Texans or Raiders, they can't stop anything either.

Some people don't like lower scoring sports like soccer and hockey. Even baseball can seem boring to many. Basketball has high scores and a lot of back and forth.

Imagine if in football, scoring was only 1 point. You get 1 point for a TD and there's no extra point. You just go back and forth trying to score. Not as dramatic. Of course there's different strategy elements in options to kick a FG, going for 2.

Would soccer and hockey be better if a goal were 6 points and then you can line up for an additional shot for an extra point?

Mentioning soccer and hockey together is blasphemous. Soccer is more like NBA basketball, only even more boring. I need defense to enjoy basketball. Love Kelvin Sampson’s defenses at UH. I watch college roundball but not much NBA anymore. Hate the dominance of the three pointers that is present in both college and NBA. Soccer is like watching paint dry.

So he got to make a lot of deposits and now he's getting a ton of money for making those deposits? It's good to be a junior male colleague?
