How many high quality RTs are drafted round 3 or later? I'm curious.

While I'm hopeful it's only been a week.

I did some research on draft history over a year ago, I'll see if I still have it on my laptop. But basically most of the best OT were 1st round picks, but like any position there can be good players found in any round.

Just looking at Eagles history you have Jason Peters was undrafted then we traded for him. Todd Herremans was a 4th round pick. He was a solid player. If Bell is a solid player that's great. They all can't be elite franchise legends. Mailata of course was a 7th round project. Big V Hatai was a 5th rounder and solid backup, stepped in for Peters when he got hurt and played in the 1st Super Bowl win.

So 5th round doesn't automatically on it's own mean Bell can't be the long-term replacement, or even a 3-4 year replacement while they take advantage of a rookie deal (and cheaper than 1st round).

O line is the Eagles bread and butter. They'll always add talent there.

They call Gen-Z the Columbus generation: "discovering" things everyone already knows about. 🤣

1) Not if Hurts looks like garbage in this modern offense.

2) My point was at least 4 or 5 of these 7 QB prospects will fizzle out during the season. It always happens.

If that is the case, Howie will jump up to land his prospect he wants. He always seams to be able to make it work

Add Jon Runyan to that list, a fourth round pick.

I am at a loss as to what Mannion's/Kuper's pass protection system may be that makes it different. Looking at Green Bay's system last year, when they kept five guys in they were average at best and, against the Eagles below average. There's not a lot of fancy stuff you can do with five guys. You can slide your line but as to whether you can help your tackles, well, not unless the defense lets you. How the D covers the guards or attacks gaps dictates what the O Line can do. Sometimes you just have to man up. The Packers did start keeping a TE on and chipping the outside rushers and releasing a RB into the flat but there wasn't much there I saw that differed from what the Eagles have done with everybody other than Patullo. The Packers usually kept six in to block and there's nothing innovative in that. Mailata talked about getting help from the guards but how that's done is a mystery to me.

I am not sure how the Patriots didn't make the list. The Bengals were 6-11 last season and their big move was adding Dexter Lawrence.

Flip the ginger for a 5th. Or Tanner for whatever inflated price TATE thinks he’s worth this week

Tanner McKee for Penei Sewell and a 4th

Ring the Bell (get your bell rung)

Frankly, in the one clip you can see in Pass pro... from a terrible angle and far away, his feet don't look that agile. It appears that he crosses his feet at the top of the pass rush... that leaves him way off balance.

Does Wicks qualify for that nasty nate award?

2 lenses for the nasty Nate award. One is the strict definition of a hyped player who doesn’t make the final 53. I think that definition is too strict. And Wicks will never qualify for that.

Next is the most overhyped camp player who everyone clearly realizes is not what the hype was once they either get cut or play for everyone to see.

I think Wicks could compete for that one.

🤣

He's either going to compete for that, or make us forget we lost AJ Brown.

Anything less than the next AJ Brown at this point makes him a disappointment compared to the amount of hype at camp.

Ooof. That seating. 🙃

I ask because I don’t know, does anyone have bad /obstructive seats at the Linc?

Only when idiots stand down by the rails to take selfies with the field as the background... my seats are end zone almost dead center of the

uprights and I'm good but other people have the issue with the selfie people. Usually security keeps them moving.

I thought the latter category was the Na Brown Award.

In the college videos I saw, it looked like he was a waist bender and would get out over his feet. It seems like he did a better job using his length to initiate contact and re-direct. He doesn't look agile but he doesn't have to be super agile if he knows how to maintain leverage and use his length to shut down pass rushers. It does look like he got his feet crossed and it seems like he should have been better positioned to get the spin move. I think the initial contact is good but he's got a fair amount of work to do.

If he can use his hands consistently well at his size, it can help mitigate stodgy foot movement. Makes us appreciate how freakishly agile the like of Jason Peters, Lane and Mailiata are

Think he was also playing too heavy at Miami

I want to see him drop some fat by next years camp
