Can Lemon be better than Reagor? The default answer should be yes, but we will have to wait and see.

That's a pretty low bar. If he can't, then as another poster observed Howie needs to stop drafting WRs in the first round.

After the spring hoopla, not much mention of Riq in TC notes

Not being mentioned much I’ll take as a good sign. I only like the signing since it’s a prove it deal. Dudes been pretty bad the past 2 years. We just need him to be average. He’s going to get tested a lot this season. A lot.

Wow

I did not see that coming

Obviously reagor over JJ stings but he’s only picked 3.5 if you want to stretch it. NA was a Chip pick. He was at least solid. Lemon was almost a no brainer sitting at that spot. Smitty was an absolute home run he actively went after. Picking a wr in the 20s and missing is completely different from top 10.

Picking a first round WR who is currently being talked about as not starting early games is pretty bad, Hollywood and Wicks have one 1000 yard season between them in a combined 10 years of trying, if your first round pick can't compete with that level of competition then your scouting done screwed up royally.

And before anyone says he's been injured, lets not pretend the early camp reports pre hammy weren't already sucking through their teeth and whispering uh-oh about Lemon.

Carter already getting accolades based off name alone is interesting lol

Admittedly i don’t follow TC ‘reports’ (if you can even call them reports) super closely. He had a drop i saw, but outside of that he was running crisp and quick routes from what i gathered. I think the injury is grossly taking the convo to places it shouldn’t be…yet. I also think most of us viewed the pick as a ‘for tomorrow’ thing. Most of the talk post draft that wasn’t slamming him was how he was going to get reps. Could he beat out Brown for reps at the #4 as he eases his way into the league.

So you are saying makai is a lemon…

His ‘down’ season last year without functioning shoulders was still pretty darn good. Dudes a monster and players around the league recognize it. It’s the talking head nerds that push hot air out their butts that really drive any talk the other direction.

That's six. Barkley, Coop, Baun, Q, Hurts, and now Carter. Will Lane show up next?

BTW, the average should be 3 players per team.

The WR2 problem has been solved.

Seriously, if Hurts is comfortable throwing him the ball often in a new scheme, he should be getting reps when the season starts.

Too bad about Jaeden Roberts, was hoping he might be a project to develop for depth. Maybe practice squad.

Cooper definitely making it over Wilson. If they keep 6 I hope Moore does too

They should've given cooper a shot at being WR3 instead of drafting lemon. Even going back to last year they had chemistry. With lemon missing so much he may be WR3 anyway

The TD/Turnover split is pretty amazing.

Per Howie, "Hope isn't a strategy." Hoping that Wicks, Cooper, and the other flotsam they had at WR would materialize into legitimate WR2/WR3 wouldn't be acceptable to him. Be happy that the guys are seizing their opportunities. But addressing WR in volume in the spring made perfect sense.
