Monday at 04:27 PM5 days I've got 2 potential surprises making OL and definitely one of these guys. Majors & C. Williams.Think they've invested some time in these 2 and see them as still developing and not a finished product. But a lot of good traits to work with, especially in the new OZ system. Fred Johnson probably takes the hit this year in another customary August trade to tweak the roster by Howie. And they could start the season with as much as 11 linemen, if that's where the better talent sways on the roster. When you have question marks with health in regards to LD, CJ and LJ, you stack that position.

Bell is a rookie, and Lane and Mailata have both missed games the last couple of years (Mailata had an IR stint in 2024, Lane last year). We have basically zero at tackle behind Fred and Bell - Williams isn't ready. I'd be flat out SHOCKED if they traded Fred - it's not like you'd get much for him. We saw how bad the Matt Pryor at RT experiment was last year.

He actually grades out pretty low the last 2 years. But we are so used to trash like Driscoll at RT, that he looks great. If we are waiving a 22 year old Cameron Williams to keep Fred Johnson, then it's a hell no! Also, Bell is way ahead of schedule and is the 1st swing tackle off bench at this point. I do like Fred as an extra TE. But don't know if Mannion is implementing that look.

So we are keeping the depth.10 OL minimum IMO, maybe even more. I can’t imagine entrusting the entire tackle position to the depth of a single third round rookie, no matter how good he’s looked.

I could swap Majors for Williams if they still like Williams' potential.
