Im finding on google that the eagles are averaging 63 snaps per game with Fangio. However, the offense has left them on the field entirely too much under Patullo.

With an efficient offense, a vic fangio defense should easily be in the mid-low 50s

How upset are people going to be at half time week 1 if the Eagles are up 21-0 but the offense has more yards rushing than passing?

I’m not opposed to their approach to preseason games at all. But I’m sure as hell not going to take my time and watch it with that approach either.

The 3 best things about the game were the 2nd team OL, the RB performances and Ty Robinson. Bell, Lampkin and Kendall all looked like players that could come in and start and play well. Shipley looked fast and ran hard. Steele had some big catches and ran well too. Ty Robinson looked promising and much more like the player he was in college.

I wonder if they have Lemon play in the final preseason game. If they think he is really back from his hamstring then they should.

Weru looking as good as he did is almost more promising given how much younger he is (allegedly) than Ty Robinson.

S- Mukuba, Epps, Wisniewski, and Gushiken

NB- DeJean, Carter

CB- Mitchell, Woolen, Jones, Trash

Thats 10.

There are 6 CBs, and 4 safeties.

Ill give you the "average argument". But every time OUR defense has been on the field that much, we have all been very upset with their performance, or blamed the offense for making them be on the field far too long. That may be because our defense is far better than average. As such, they should be on the field for somewhere in the 50s for snap count. Youll have DeJean at safety in base somewhere around 10-12 snaps. LESS than that if our offense jumps out to leads and teams keep trying to pass to play catch up putting us in nickel even more.

DeJean should not be called a safety based on "base" defense that we actually only line up in for a handful of plays every game.

Or, call him that if you want but build the depth chart to reflect the reality- that you actually need starting safeties and backup safeties without considering him part of that picture. Because hes basically never lined up there.

I 100% disagree … respectfully disagree, but disagree nonetheless less. Lemon starts the season on IR in my armchair GM decisions.

His availability in Week 18 is more important to me than his availability in Weeks 1-4.

As I said before … semantics.

I think the team is not really using a FB this year. So that hurts Steele's chances. Going more in to the 2 TE fad which probably gives Latu the edge over him for that reason as well as that Latu still offers that FB flexability, and maybe most of all that Latu is a STs demon.

I think reps are important for him. I think if they think the hamstring isn't ready they should hold back but if he looks reads put him out there for a few snaps.

I disagree … there are 6 CBs and 6 Safeties. Gush may well make it 7 CBs and 6 Safeties. All you have to do is look at a Depth Chart to confirm that … 12 names in 12 boxes.
