I just read that Ian Rapoport said Ashton Jeanty's ankle sprain is "more low than high." It's either a high ankle sprain or low ankle sprain, lol. These insiders can be such clowns.

Well the Big 10 has made the right decision, the SEC hopefully does the right thing as well, they are meeting today. Lane Kiffin is going to lose his mind if they do.

Arguably keeping them from returning helps the younger players. Hopefully it opens the opportunity for some small school to get the players.

Calvin Austin had a bad knee injury and is probably done. He was carted off.

Darnell Wright did something to his elbow.

Chris Olave landed on his back hard but sounds like he just was shook up.

Jamar Chase also banged his knee and quit practice early but sounds ok.

That's all I saw

Thanks

Ty Robinson did nothing his first year then started camp buried deep on the depth chart. Now he's tearing it up (if that means anything). Every year people say it takes 3 years to judge a draft but then immediately judge a guy after 3 weeks. I get it because it's all we have to go on. And let's face it most guys fail so betting against someone is the most likely outcome regardless but it does take time for most players. Very few light it up from day one of camp through their entire career

So true. And to make judging the draft even more problematic, it is first judged before every player has competed against a pro for even one snap. I think this supports the Eagles’ approach of looking for traits; one very hard to measure is coachability. I would argue that the eagles judge that better than most.

Football is almost always a high sprain because low sprains are typically from landing on it wrong whereas the high sprain is planting and twisting it.

Is there going to be a stream of this open practice?

Who went down?

And was it one big gloppy drip or a series of little ones?

The cut-down would be a challenge to the FO. Not at the top of the roster, which is set and looks good. The bottom part is the difficult one, with emerging players in TC, players who have been behind due to injury, and some development players you don't want to lose via waiver. FO has to manage this process with skills and good intelligence around the league.

I am a bite concerned about the new OC. No doubt he is a bright young coach, but with no play calling experience and limited NFL experience. Dealing the in-game situations could be a challenge. Nick may have to step in to manage the situations. Hope it all works out well.

No, this is what they brought Grizzard in for. Nick should only be determining when they go on 4th, and that's about all I'd trust him with. Let him get his hands in playcalling and we're F'ed

The speed will come from the 9 DBs, of which Ringo and Carter are two. However, I do believe that the new kickoff rules make gunner speed much less important. Lane discipline has a higher value now with the distance the coverage team needs to cover being so foreshortened. Punt coverage does need two good gunners, but only two. Ringo is one. Carter/McWilliams will probably be the other. Does Cooper do STs?

Cooper only played 106 ST snaps last year, but by the end of last year (he was on IR in the middle of the season), he was on all the core ST except the punt coverage team.

Carter has only played 120 ST snaps in the last 4 years and McWilliams only got 20 ST snaps last year, none as gunner.

RIP Dolly Parton.

'Coat of Many Colors' was one of my favorite songs. It resonates when you didn't grow up with much.

'9 to 5' was right up there with the funniest movies from the early 80s.

An icon has taken her talents to the other side.

One in seven kids receive a book from her charity. Arguably she has done more for childhood literacy that anyone. Her legacy is amazing.

In honor of Dolly passing today: a collection of massive busts

I agree with trading Fred for DB help

Especially if Howie is able to pick up a serviceable outside zone tackle off the waiver wire to serve as another backup behind Bell.

I really wanted Cameron Williams to be that guy, but he is too inconsistent at this point to be relied on. I’m not ready to give up on him, but his limitations at this point are real.

It’s the only thing I think of as well. Think it was called Flight Night back then.

Since that night which I was there, they changed these public practices completely. It's literally just a walkthrough. Warm-ups , a couple of throws here and there. It's honestly an absolute joke that anyone goes to it anymore. I stopped going a few years ago it was just a waste of time

So can we have Wright back? Would have liked to see him make the roster.
