If he doesn't hurts will need another super bowl and much better regular season play until the end of his career. If hurts doesnt win another super bowl, he isn't getting in IMO.

Second, a certain TE on the Patriots would look a lot better than Jenkins who half of us probably forget is on the team. I love Howie but I think pride is also part of the reason we have 4 QBs. He doesn't want to admit Dalton was a mistake or he couldn't get a high pick for McKee. Keeping the latter is the right move, but Dalton sucks. That's silly. Why would Howie give two craps? He's got 2 rings, the reputation as the top GM in the NFL, lifetime (Lurie's life, though his son would probably feel the same) security. He has no reason to want to CYA. A 7th rd pick has little value, even if Howie does a great job of finding value, he also is great at adding extra picks in the draft when he sees late round opportunities.Dalton is here b/c McKee blew his opportunity with a new OC. That simple. If McKee convinces Mannion he can back up Hurts, Dalton is gone.

And I like Ertz getting small chunks on 1st down with his short hybrid slant/dig route. More of those and ditch the screen action. That's like fitting a square peg into a round hole. Awful and not playing into Hurts's and OL's strengths right now. They need to go uptempo sooner and dictate on earlier downs with unpredictability. I think that's where this is heading. It's just that the OL is behind the eight ball, it's been choppy and hard to gain the rhythm needed. This is an exciting start so far of what could be. Mannion needs to keep the foot on the gas and stay aggressive. #1 is certainly engaged. I like the role of Hurts playing point guard and spreading the ball everywhere to many guys. That last TD pass to Cooper was very basketball like.No. Hurts actually isn't very good on designed runs anymore, he's best scrambling out of the pocket or on draws.I think because he's got average speed but is hard to tackle one on one, so when the defense is in pass defense mode, there is more open space for him to run through, same with draws when LBs drop.

That's different. Right move? Don't love it but I think he wants value and he isn't getting it and he isn't cutting one. The Cowboys cut one better than both.

I saw him going around the edge pretty nicely last week. He doesn't have to be as prolific as a few years ago, just not like last year, where he totally shut it down with being a running threat.

Instead of trying to recoup that pick, get a better player on the roster. Two wrongs don't make a right. He should eat it and move on.Absolutely agree and agree that Howie's roster construction since the end of camp has not been good. The team has lost young talent (we'll see how their careers pan out) and gotten older with Ertz and Moore. They could have easily kept Gush, Williams and Latu. I look at the Rams poaching Pulley as payback for Lampkin.

I cant recall one

Its the only called run that works for him.The one designed run theyve called for him so far that I can remember was an outside run, and as we all could have predicted, did not work.

Overall, it appears that Jalen is trying to preserve himself as more often than not he slid in front of sticks rather than bulled his way through.

September 24Sep 24 I remember one Hurts run wide and it went as well as the RB runs. Something is wrong with the OL run blocking. The entire line seems to get no push.
