I'll go 4-3. Little ambitious but I don't trust Lawrence. Then again the Panthers are no push over and the eagles like to play down to their competition

Idk i wouldn’t be surprised if the jags are the best team in the afc. Bills and chiefs are undefeated. I do think the Jaguars have the most complete offense in the AFC. I like the running game with turn and Rodriguez. They have three really good wide receivers and a nice tight end. And their offensive line is good. To me it’s gonna come down to how good their defense is. I think they are solid but can they make a leap.

both Buffalo and KC i don’t worry about the offense especially KC with Walker and Nagy gone. I think the Chiefs lost a lot of talent on that defense. They held the Broncos, but that felt like a first week MNF home game with mahomes returning. Kind of elevated their play. I thought the colts game was more realistic of what they’ll be. I know spags will have them competent just think you have some offenses that have the fire power to beat them

Good question and the problem is that it's not complicated so why didn't they try it?

Why didn't we just try something new once the Bears built up a lead? At that points it's like why not

The only think I can think is we didn't have those in the gameplan? Which is a serious indictment on Mannion.

That drive we had after Hurts came back was awesome. Everything that was before that and followed that was pretty trash. No idea how they put that together and then crashed and burned the rest of the way

What’s everyone’s prediction for what the record is after Dallas? I’m going to go 3-4

Depends. Do they play Trott or stick with the first round pick? Do they play Majors, Morris, or Little Will at guard? Do they play Carter in his natural position in the slot and move Coop to safety? Does Vic start playing his DBs on the line when they are getting shredded? Does Greenard add a spark? They can get better but some decisions are screwing them

Positives from last night:

  • My plane didn't crash

  • The offense in the 1st half, particularly the run game, looked very good. The first 2 drives were short circuited by penalties and a fumble, then a 95 yard drive and a 67 yard TD drive. We looked good in the 1st half in TN as well, but just shot ourselves in the foot (end zone pick in TN, 1st 2 drives this week, the Andy Dalton experience). Game should have been 14-10 or 10-10 at the half (guess you can say 14-13 or 10-13 if Bears kick the FG).

  • Saying it again - the running game in the 1st half was a serious improvement.

  • On defense...well...Q looks great again. And Woolen got victimized by some ticky tack calls.

Unlike 2023 at the end when everything felt helpless, there are some green shoots here. The more I think about it, the more it's this simple - we need to clean up the operation on offense. That's coaching and execution. Being 2-1 while being -5 in turnover margin should be impossible - hopefully the turnovers start to even out.

That bad Odunze TD drop was in the first half, right? Felt like they gave us a few times to turn the momentum around and just couldn't.

I’ve been telling you all offseason the talent has decayed and the reinforcements aren’t good. Everyone makes fun of me.

Howie is much better at building Sb teams than he is at maintaining them.

One, we make fun of you because you are fat, smell like cat pee and ugly not because your takes are bad. I hope that helps. Two, not many teams can maintain a Super Bowl quality roster over multiple seasons. The biggest gripe I have was the lack of concern about the TE position. I can excuse the other moves.

The drive where Hurts got "injured" was also excellent. 12 plays, 95 yards, killed by Dalton. Barkley was killing it.

I’d argue the drive he got knocked out was good before Dalton came in and ruined it. Before hurts went to the blue tent, the eagles had moved the ball from their own 2 all the way down to inside the red zone. Got a PI but if not for the PI smith catches the ball for a big gain.

That's a fair point. Guess you can call Dalton INT vs. Bears 4th down failure a wash.

Still, if the Eagles score there to make it 10-7 instead of the Andy Dalton Experience, feels like it could have changed the game. To get that 4th down stop and go 97 yards for a TD...huge momentum boost.

Ok then. Those 2 drives. Why was the rest trash? lol

Even their first drive wasn’t horrible. It wasn’t great. But they at least moved the ball 29 yards and flipped field position. the defense that went right back out there forced a punt but basically allowed bears to flip field position back. we were super fortunate that the Bears special teams player had his toe touch the goal line otherwise we’ve been starting at the 1 yard line on that possession.

Just a short 24 hours ago many in here were on the Superbowl Express airplane in 1st class. Especially, in a somewhat weak conference. Now we are pieces of sheet and a poverty franchise. Jets level. Comical place here.

We stopped running outside zone in the 2nd half? Decided to start calling screen plays to Barkley and Lemon?

Feels like Mannion tries to switch things up at halftime and goes away from what worked in the 1st half?

And in the 2nd half they ran towards the other side. What are the chances Nick isn't having a say in the offense with the similarities to last year with them not going back to stuff that was working? I think the offense still has room to grow and while some online are bashing Hurts I think he looked amazing the first half. I'm not sure what happened there in the 2nd either, but they have a lot of weapons and that's not my concern. The defense is, though. Cooper has to get off the field if only for first down. So does Epps. Baun could really benefit from Trott being next to him and they need at least one safety who isn't getting lost out there.

They need one guard

One TE and Ertz isn't it

One safety and maybe the other will look better

Get two out of those three and they will look a world better.

Also, congrats on the plane not crashing. We are all happy about that.

He'll get remembered for that catch but that's about it. Not even sure the catch happens if he doesn't wear those legal stickum gloves

If you have to ask that many questions, next 4 games won't be good

I'll remember him for the boat pic and getting punked by a kicking net, but that's just me

I knew there would be issues on offense. Though I didn't think it'd be that bad

I thought the defense would carry the team though. A lot of money into the Dline with not the best results so far

I thought the secondary would be great now. Woolen was getting bullied and doing stupid things

They could end up just always having a slow start but that's just not good

Not sure that will even help. QB1 staring down Smith all game. Lemon with these stupid screens. Jurgens being trash. Run game disappearing. Turning the ball over way too much. Zero TO on defense. Too many issues

Anybody else watch the Gamepass commercial free stream? They cut it down to about 1:50 which was nice BUT there were some horrible edits. I think there were almost 10 plays where all you saw was like the last second or two of the play. Yes, cut out some dead time but at least start by showing every play before the ball is snapped.

This dline makes me more upset then anything. It's suppose to be one if not the best dline in the nfl. They're getting owned

For the life of me, I can't understand how this offense can look unstoppable 2-3 series, then devolve into complete utter crap 15 minutes later.

I've realized I get called negative because I feel compelled to provide unpleasant doses of reality when they are lacking.

Devonta Smith best career season: 1196/12.6ypc/7TD

OBJ 2014: 1305/14.3/12

OBJ 2015: 1450/15.1/13

OBJ 2016: 1367/13.5/10

Odd...start Dalton? (I kid, I kid)
