Ugh.  To think that we were sitting at 6 with the possibility of one of the top 2 position players in the draft and now we're discussing Christian Barmore as a realistic choice at 12 is one of hte most depressing things in a while. 

The front office demands we pass the ball with Hurts at QB, an aging o-line, the worst receiving core in the league and a locker room that approached the former head coach telling him we need to run the ball.... Listened to the BwF podcast about their story on the Eagles’ dysfunction. They said everything in the story was corroborated by multiple sources and what they included themes they discovered while talking to 30 or so sources.

I think for the most part we should build our team with a pass-first mentality and enter most games with a pass first game plan. That said, there has to be room adjustments and going counter to your mentality. The Packers game is a perfect example. They played with a light box and were just awful against the run. It would have been stupid to not run the ball.

And Mosher and Caplan confirmed that article from their sources too and on the recent podcast expanded on some areas.  Jeff Mclane has written similar articles as have other writers.  They can't be all wrong in that regard.

The separate MS Teams group chat of Doug, Howie, Lurie and Weidl makes a ton of sense with the picks that were made.  No wonder some people lower down the org chart were pissed about the picks that were made.

Some process

I don’t think they draft Barmore.  If they did, their overinvestment in the DT position would be downright comical.  You’d just have to laugh at that point.

There are only so many DTs out there that transcend being good players who just hold their gap to become rushers that actually disrupt the passing game.  

If eagles must have a DT , instead of Barmore at 12 , give me McNeil or Williams rd 2 or Marshall mid rounds 

 

I think it all starts with stopping the run , and with your front 7 , much easier when a team is one dimensional

The questioning of why did you run in 30 mph winds or why did you run so much en route to 34 points on the road against GB absolutely should. It’s insulting and displays ignorance from an owner/GM who should know better.

You laugh, but way back when when people were allowed to change their own screen names, there was this phase where (lets use your SN) greend would change it to Evil greend and post the exact opposite as normal greend.  But then some people ruined the schtick by changing their name to greend. 

 

Fun times, wanted to nip that in the bud before anyone got the same bright idea.

This NFL draft class is small. How small?? By mid-April of 2019, 1,972 players had signed with an NFL agent. By mid-April of 2020, 1,839 players had signed.  This year, as of April 7, that number is only 657!!!

And that is it.  You'd hope a 25+ year owner of a team that loves getting into the details would know and understand that right?

There is no "normal greend". That said none of that surprises me.
