Not sure how long Pinkstons arms were or his wing span but that would be the closest comparison size wise except Pinkston was almost 6'3" at 168 lbs and smith is 6 ft 166 lbs.

Desean was around 168 lbs at combine but only 5'10" and also has 4.3 timed speed compared to Pinkstons 4.4 speed and smiths untimed 4.4 speed. 

I think smith is a good mix between Pinkston and Desean body type wise.

Not as tall as Pinkston not as fast as Desean.

Hopefully his production isn't in the middle of both and Instead he exceeds both.

If Pinkston played today, he'd be a lot more effective than he was circa 2001.

Look at old highlights of Chad Ochocinco. Reminds me of that route running, but Smith is still quicker and smoother

imo howie won in round 1 this year , trading down from 6 for a 1st next season cause he believed pitts and chase wouldn't be there , then being able to jump the giants for smith and only giving the teams lowest 3rd they got form the colts.

I hope it's either Ojulari or Basham in the 2nd round tonight

I could see their thought process -- Golladay is the big possession WR1, Slayton is the speed guy, they want Toney as the smurf who operates in the middle.

I didn't see Toney as a 1st round prospect either, though.

Yup was going to say the same, the rules handcuff CBs and give a distinct advantage to WRs and passing.

The Eagles won a super bowl with a similar WR in torrey smith fulfilling the todd Pinkston Z receiver role.

Well 18 seconds in his catches the corner completely off guard with how quickly he snaps into his route abs blows by him when he was leaning back as if he was looking to the sideline. 

 

1:16 a hell of an adjustment to go up and get an underthrown ball. 

 

2:18, great move to the inside and gets popped immediately but holds onto the ball and stays up and doesn't go to the ground until he has 3 defenders on him. 

 

2:44 great move early in his route allows him to get behind the corner for the 85 yard TD catch.

Imagine watching these breakdowns as Smith roasts good corner after good corner every single time and still saying he's too small 

Can't wait for JJAW to misrun a route, run into Smith, and knock him out for the season.

Hmm Campbell looked better against Devonte Smith than Stingley did at least in the clips I saw.

I was thinking wow campbell us doing pretty good then he got toasted by waddle, win some lose some would be better if the losses aren't 70 yard tds 🤔
