I don’t really see the constructive discussion being around whether Devonta Smith is a good enough talent; it’s whether he’ll be able to hold up to the physicality of the NFL.

Lots of Marvin Harrison comparisons, but Harrison was 179 at the combine.  That’s a big difference from 166 to 179 lbs.  Hopefully he will be able to put some muscle on to his frame — even 175 is a lot better than 166 IMO.

FYI maybe this was mentioned here already but - Georgia DE/LB Azeez Ojulari was reportedly red-flagged for a degenerative lower leg condition during recent combine medicals in Indianapolis, according to Pro Football Network’s Tony Pauline.

 

No idea what that means but doesn't sound promising

Also just realized Basham will be 24 in December.  I'm out on him.  Tyson Campbell just turned 21 in March.  Moves his stock up for me

The Sports Science video on him is pretty interesting and definitely worth a watch.

There is no logic to the discussion of if Devonta can stay healthy because of his size.  The only question regarding his size will be if he can avoid being manhandled in coverage by physical corners.

I'll have to give it a look, I wasn't a huge smith proponent but the more I read about him and the more I watch the more I like the pick.
