The cheesy sayings don’t do it for me. I’d rather him say that he views himself as QB1 so yeah.

Why are you such a Nick Foles fan then?  Everything he says to the media is cheese clichés.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

That’s a silly take.

There’s a lot to unpack here.

After review the play on the field has been overturned. The IG model didn’t maintain possession of the frame job and keeping it in her pants.

Also JJAW was ruled out of sex selling cause he doesn’t have more receptions then Cephus

What in the actual F? 🤣

And he’s a Super Bowl MVP

If she was selling umbrellas, JJAW would've been buying.

If Hurts proves he's the real deal then that's great for the Eagles.   They have a franchise QB on the cheap for 3 more years with lots of draft capital and hopefully cap space by the time he's due for an extension to build a team around.  I have my reservations about whether he'll be successful but if he pans out the Eagles will be in great shape.  Some fans irrationally hate him because of where he was drafted but that's not his fault.  That blame can be placed solely on Lowie.  If he flops we at least have ammo to get our new franchise QB.  So cheers to a hopefully good season from our QB and new coaching staff.  Can't wait for real football.

Meh.  He never said the wrong thing, but he had a force field in front of him made out of titanium.

I won’t argue that he was a good guy or teammate (I won’t argue that he wasn’t either)...too much misdirection on that one.

But I do think he did a nice job with bullets in front of the media.

Do you think Luck had the skillset and talent to take the team to the SB if they didn't get him to retire early from neglecting the Oline for years?

Luck and the Colts were a unique scenario for two reasons:

— the Colts were a double-digit win team every season from 2002 to 2011.  Manning misses the entire season with neck surgery, they bottom out to 2 wins to get the #1 overall pick, then go right back to double-digit wins with Luck.  I’d say that had a lot more to do with the overall roster than it did with Luck

— even more importantly, they had that roster in place and didn’t need to trade up for the #1 overall pick.  Absolutely unheard of

Usually the #1 overall pick goes either to a team that has a terrible roster, or the team gives up significant assets to acquire the pick.  Luck was fortunate he didn’t walk into either situation

Am I correct in understanding that all the negative toward Hurts is because of the concern that he is a 1-read QB? Is this the measure that will be primarily used to evaluate his play regardless of Ws or other offense stats with the underlying concern that a "1-read and take off" QB doesn't result in a top tier team?

I'm genuinely asking because I'm trying to understand all the negativity toward this kid

No, you’re not correct.  People have two concerns — that he takes off running without the ability to read an NFL defense, and that he can’t throw the football well enough to succeed even if he does learn to go through his progessions

Those are the concerns that folks interpret as negativity.  If Hurts was successful in 2020 and people still bashed him, that would be negativity.  The fact is, he has not been successful on either count to this point — so people are rightly concerned

That’s quite the headline...

Agreed.  Quite a hooooorendous story.

Tomorrow I’m going to make the argument Jalen Hurts can’t be the franchise QB because he shaved his dreads and had a bad haircut yesterday at his presser. Stay tuned.

I always thought Luck was overrated as a prospect and as an nfl player.

While he certainly belonged at the top of the draft, I felt the generational talk crossed the line. He was your typical, yearly top of the class qb prospect, IMO.

Couldn't agree more.  The national media and scouts are just desperate for the next one after Peyton Manning.  Trevor Lawrence is up next.

WOW!!!!! got a feeling this kid is gonna be a beast

Don’t forget to add he also changed his number. Very important

Couldn’t handle Carson having the same number. Shows mental weakness.

The fact that people are complaining about Andrew Luck, who was consistently a top 5-10 QB throughout his career, shows how unrealistic QB expectations are.

Mob mentality.

Haven’t been in Tate since the draft.  Everyone ok?  We all good?

I think, at least for me, that’s an oversimplification. My concern is that he relies more on his legs than his arm as a QB. Don’t know if that’s an inability to read defenses, a lack of pocket presence, a lack of trust in what’s around him, or an over reliance on his athleticism.

but my concern is that for whatever reason he won’t let plays develop and take advantage of whatever materializes beyond the first few moments from snap.

Unless everything clears up he’s not going anywhere. However if he came here before the season begins I’m curious to see the discussions on here
