A noose knot works like a taught line knot.  You can adjust them but they don’t slip unless forced.  Stupid choice for a pull.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Oh damn.

That's exactly the type of content that shouldn't be in here and should be moved to CVON. I am sorry for engaging at all.

reading to much in buddy

I think you are trying to justify it without knowing the intent.

I dont know the intent all i know is its an obvious noose and whether its intent was as a joke or fun or as a racist statement who knows but i know  during todays climate its a bad look.

There a dozen different knots one can use as a garage pull and thats the last id ever use. Is a noose a strong functional knot? Absolutely but who knows how to tie a noose??? I was never taught the noose in boy scouts because we had zero use for one. Which begs the question again who knows how to tie a noose and for what purpose.

Either way its a bad look in todays climate.

look i agree about a noose being left for someone, but it was known to have been there atleast since oct 2019 , so i'm just saying that no one could have known then he was getting that stall last week, so he wasn't a target for some sicko. that's  me coming to my intent of the incident.

Whether or not it was a functional noose meaning functional for hanging someone the way it is tied looks like a functional noose. I would see that lic and first reaction, say hey that looks like a garage pull or a fishermans knot.

Upon first glance any one would say that looks like a noose. Also sense when are fbi agents the authority on knots or to be trusted?

Go get 15 klansman or 15 hangman and ask them what they think kind of knot it is.

Whether or not its tied like a noose would be for hanging/lynching someone is beside the point as what matters is what its perceived as.

First glance it looks like a noose which is the last knot id tie unless i was hanging someone.

Like i said bad look.

Totally agree. Unless the person who left it is some diabolical mastermind...

Which would be the perfect cover for an evil genius, red neck grease monkey by day diabolical evil super genius by night😄

Now we just need sharks with friggin lasers😉

My suggestion would be to stop engaging, he is obviously made up his mind that it was a publicity stunt and could not have any possible merit because his view is the only one that is reasonable or valid. There's no reason to engage with him on this topic.

He seems reasonable enough, just trying to figure it out like the rest of us.

Thanks for looking out though i appreciate it!👍

to tell you the truth i blame nascar and his garage crew , they get there well before the driver and if they had concerns over the rope it should have been taken care of before he got there  IMO. but GO EAGLES

hmmm the argument of intent.... thats not an acceptable argument to make against Kaepernick kneeling and intentionally or not insulting veterans and disrespecting the flag though.

You know i wondered the same thing, this cant be the first time this has been seen, why didnt someone say hey guys how about we use a different knot.

If i were a white driver and walked in that garage a year ago id say WTF thats a noose.

Which i think is part if the problem, why didnt somebody say something earlier.

Why did it take a black guy to say something for Nascar to say Ooops our bad😕

case in point.

it wasn't a noose , it was a tied handle to pull open the garage door that has been there for almost a year and some of the other doors were the same. bubba smollett just ran with the moment cause he can't get attention on the track by running up front. this puts a bad spin on real acts of racism , if america was such a racist country why run fake racist stories..

1. They said it was literally the only one there tied like that.

2. Bubba Wallace didn't even report it, someone else did. His garage crew you just blamed who got their before him and took care of it.

Kap made his intent known, he even discussed with a vet the most respectful way he thought he could do it. Now how one perceives kaps actions is up to you but his intent was and has been pretty well spelled out. If you are still unclear about the intent than im not sure what to tell you...get tested???

Who knows the intent of the noose, but its a noose functioning as a garage pull.

One can say then that is its intended use but who uses a noose as a garage pull. Its not a commonly taught or used knot except for a few specific functions, garage pull not being one of the more common.

Like i said its a bad look in todays climate.

i'm all love here my eagle brothers and sisters so i'm going to

I dont know what a chaz member is. If it has something to do with looting and rioting while i dont agree with either i try to understand the climate, environment that leads a person to feel they need to do that.

Not helpful to the cause of equality but understandable form of protest.
