a rushing TD... in practice... when the defense can't touch him.

I mean…

The point is... there should be no rushing TDs by the QB in practice.  He needs to either find the open receiver, or practice trying to force it in to a tight spot.  We know he can run.  And running in practice isn't a big deal, isn't even worth mentioning.    🥱

Hurts needs to work on his passing skills.   The legs will be there... in the games... when it would be needed.  It is not needed now.

Good news about our QB who is on the roster.

What? He wasn’t cut after Day One?

By their sources which is likely someone on the Colts. You guys are way too critical of reporters these days. He's seeing a specialist but the initial thought is it's not a lisfranc. That's not rumor mongering.

Then why not attribute the source as a well placed person within the Colts whom informs that the initial examination by team medical staff suggests it is likely not a lis franc.  That’s a whole lot more informative than "been told” and "believe” and would suggest facts as opposed to an unknown and possibly unconnected source who has a belief based on unknown information, if any.  "Been told” and "believe” could well be another reporter espousing his personal believe after five drinks at the bar.  You are making a supposition on the possible source which I would suggest given the word choices used in the tweet might well be a reach.  Unfortunately, because of the likes of Schefter and Florio, reporters need to be first with a scoop and attract readers using tweets like this.  And with media constantly cutting journalists in a profession that doesn’t pay particularly well, the reporters are under pressure to be first resulting in a decline in the quality of information proffered.  We get TMZ not WaPo or the Times.

Wouldn't be wise; he's been dead for over 300 years.  Goedert, though?  Yeah -- although I don't think I ever used the word "big" extension.  I'm pretty sure I qualified my position along the lines of 'properly negotiated'.

Funny. You must kill em at the old folks home stand up comedy night.

Not worth it yet. He’s still got to prove himself. The Eagles have missed out on to many big contracts and TE isn’t a like DL or OL or QB.

If only it were that easy to get rid of ESP.

Why?

Because as it stands, we are years away from being serious contenders, we are very tight on cash and we can get a decent set of picks for him.

He's a good tight end. I think some of the fanbase might overrate him some, but he's good. He has yet to break out like so many people keep assuming he will. Sure, it's possible, but we haven't seen it. Now, he's come into camp out of shape.

I just think it would be foolish to sign him to the deal he's going to require, given all of the above, when we won't really be in the mix for years.

Could definitely see the argument to keep him and I wouldn't be upset, but I also wouldn't lose sleep if we shipped him out either.

A voice of reason…

A hairline fracture or stress fracture would be about a 6-8 week recovery from what I've seen in the past.  A hangnail would be a bit less.

Best to sign him now to an extension cause we can get him cheaper now in case he keeps this level of play up through the rest of training camp

And give Goedert a deal today cause if he turns the right way during during a drill tomorrow he will want a Basketball Max contract

Well good news is Wheelchair Wentz’s injury doesn’t appear to be season ending at this time.

Well Wentz joined the Colts. He got hurt, thier starting probowl Center got hurt. Leonard is in a boot. Thier coach tested positive for the rona. Maybe just maybe wentz took the injury juju from the Eagles to the Colts 🙂

Wentz is probably going to demand that they bring in Dr. Scholl to treat his foot injury, even though he hasn't been alive for decades.

He's still going to miss time, probably 4-6 games. That means say bye bye to that first. Even if he misses 2-3 games to start I have negative 50% confidence we get that first.

Even if he misses 2-3 games to start, he will miss more soon after. It’s foolish to count on him to be healthy.
