Colts fans are legit trying to say his first pick was high football IQ play. Dude. He literally ran into the end zone. Throw the ball away. Hate Howie but looking like a good trade.

Hey, we've been there, making excuse after excuse for this guy.

Wentz has his moments, but he is not consistent enough to be a winning QB in this league anymore.

Exactly. If the pieces are around him then he can look like a very good QB. But then he is also still going to force things and at times that's going to cost his team. Like it did today.

Howie didn’t want to trade Wentz. Wentz wanted out of Philly.

He never looked his way. In fact he zeroed in so bad on that one guy Byard basically ran all the way across the field to make that play. It’s the kind of mistake rookies make. Glad he’s with his Guru coach that makes him so much better though.

I was checking the Colts subreddit, they have completely turned on Reich and are blaming him for everything.

It's never you know who's fault.

"Kevin Byard came up with this, and he’s lucky he did. After all, he was one of three Titans defensive backs in the area, and any one of them could’ve had the moment of glory. But nope. Kevin grabbed it. Congrats, Kevin!

The last time the Colts faced off with the Titans and took a loss, Wentz was very much hobbled, miraculously "recovered” from his multiple ankle sprains just in time to take a feckless 25-16 loss that knocked Indy down to 0-3.

Sunday, though, was supposed to be all about redemption — and it looked like it might be, as the first quarter wrapped.

Instead, the seeds of doubt were sown at the end of the first half, then watered throughout the third before they sprouted repeatedly during the game’s final minutes, growing unabated up the side of Lucas Oil Stadium like an invasive species.

Carson Wentz isn’t very good. Sometimes, he forgets this. At the least opportune time, though, he’ll remember, and Sunday’s series of lapses cost the 2021 Colts the division.”

This is what Colts people are writing about Wentz. If there’s a chance this guy gets benched it will not be to secure that first. It will be because they realize he’s not the guy.

Reich gambled and stuck his neck out for that guy. People need to stop calling what Wentz does "Hero Ball.” It’s not hero ball, it’s stupid football. You can’t win anything of importance with the starting quarterback being this carelessly stupid with the football.

I haven't checked for a few weeks, but the Indianapolis Star has a Colts message board: https://forums.colts.com/

It's always fun to read other teams boards when bad things happen. Of course, it's never fun to read our message board when bad things happen...

What do you want people to say? Wentz has been looking better but had a bad game against one of the top teams in the league the Colts aren't on par with? It's also not like the Carson rebuild is complete either because bad habits take time to be eliminated. We will see but today's game doesn't mean he sucks again just like a few good games doesn't mean he is fixed. Calm down.

Didn’t want to repost all those pictures again. The irony here is people around here call Reich a guru genius. First message I saw on that Reddit basically ripped Reich too. They are blaming him for everything wrong with that team. That team did better with a quarterback with one foot out the door for retirement than they have with the ginger one.

Yup. I still wish Doug was given an opportunity to go forward without Wentz. His W-L without him at QB was staggering.

Well most of the good stuff did happen with Foles as the quarterback though. Around here it’s almost like Nick had nothing to do with those Playoff wins or the first ever SB in franchise history. According to some the regular season is all that mattered. And not even all of the regular season either.

Carson is what he is. Carson Wentz has 76 career games under his belt and you’re talking about bad habits and all this nonsense. That’s him. The good and the bad is him. I mean it’s not like he’s a 2nd round pick with with 12 career starts who is making mistakes though right? Obviously that guy can’t be fixed.

It's not all that much fun when good things happen either.

No- he's not entirely what he is. He owns his part we agree,  but he is also a guy who regressed in a dysfunctional organization with bad coaching. His first two years were night and day better than what we saw his last few here, and he was looking more like that guy for a few games. Will he ever get back to being that guy fully? Probably not, but we have no idea until Reich has time to work with him to train him to dial his hero complex down in hard situations.

I couldn’t care less if Wentz is "fixable” … he’s no longer an Eagle.  I just appreciate that he is playing well enough to be kept in the starting lineup, is staying healthy enough to play, and they are losing.

Carson’s first game against the Lions when he had the ball with a full two minutes in the fourth quarter decides his best play is to challenge Darius Slay downfield. He was picked and game over. The Eagles went 7-9 that year. He’s always been an up and down player. What’s the excuse now. He’s out of that so called dysfunction that actually happened to have more success when he wasn’t in the line up than when he wasn’t. He’s with the great one in Reich and his team has the same record as the Eagles and they haven’t beaten anyone with a winning record. Wentz quite literally threw this game away. He is what he is both good and bad.

The fact is he was coached up after that Lions game and played like a top QB in the league, and then some bad habits really started to manifest after Reich left. It can be coached but it will take time. Acho just tweeted he is the only QB in the league to have 14 TD and 1 INT. He should have had more in a really bad weather game last week, but he still looked better. Calm down the hate. The people who hate him have to wait with the people who love him just like the rest of us. We will see what happens.

All that matters is he keep suckering everyone all year enough to keep throwing him out there and Colts keep losing for that first for the Eagles. His bad habits are his real habits. He’s with the so called coach who coached him out of them supposedly. In reality Reich wasn’t Carson’s qb coach so he’s not the one who did it. Carson didn’t like that coach though. Probably cause he coached him too hard.
