That's a really tough catch. A better throw and that's an easy 1st down. Jordan Hicks got torched.

Some QBs can be taught, some can't, few have the innate ability to see the field, that's taught over seasons of film watching and experience. Some never learn.

Since there are no good options to Hurts (other than mortgage the future on a ???), the best thing is see if he can continue to progress or if he's flatlined. At worst, we get a few games of Minshew madness to end next season. It's not like say Carr is going to be a huge upgrade, Watson will probably be unable to see the defense through the bars on his cell, Rodgers ain't going nowhere and would you really want to give big assets for Wilson, his height, age and diminished mobility?

Meanwhile, there's always the possibility that Hurts improves his mechanics and after playing as a pocket QB for a second year, starts to figure it out.

I think yesterday we saw Hurts' ceiling. Yes, mechanics can be improved but being so consistently late on throws is a major red flag. He does not have the arm strength to overcome it...time to move on

So far this Wild Card round has been a complete dud.  The Dallas-49ers game became good at the end, but for the most part SF dominated.  I think it will be more like this going forward because there are 7 seeds per conference and the teams that barely make it rarely will be able to compete with the upper seeds.   Unfortunately, Goodell and the owners are all about money now vs. quality.

I feel like this game should be more competitive.  Kliff Kingsbury as a head coach his teams are always bad at the end of the season. Also the Cardinals have had a bad secondary all year but early in the season it was hidden behind a much better pass rush than what they currently have.

That's incomplete.

Nevermind. They ruled it a complete catch and fumbled out of bounds. AJ Green went into the tent immediately.

It should be competitive, but it feels like Arizona has the deer in the headlights syndrome that we had to start the game.

Rams are gashing them mercilessly in the run game.  That allows Stafford to get the ball to Kupp, Beckham and Higbee with almost no QB pressure.  The only throw he’s missed should have been a 30 yard completion.

Rams will score 40 without the Cards making some serious adjustments

Well it is Murray’s first playoff game. And they really don’t have a bunch of guys with a ton of playoff experience. you have Chandler Jones, Zach Ertz, AJ Green, hicks and JJ Watt. Otherwise the rest of that team really doesn’t have a great amount of experience and kingsbury definitely doesn’t as a head coach.

to be honest the Cardinals office the last five weeks hasn’t been that good. They’ve only averaged 21 points per game. I would also add there was an interview with one of the Seahawks players last week after they beat the Cardinals saying they thought the Cardinals just didn’t seem to have the same attitude and body language they saw earlier in the year when mccoy was leading them before the bye.
