UFL or CFL?

I would guess Carter will be extended next offseason like Jordan Davis was. One more year to be sure about the shoulder and any potential attitude issues, but I would expect it to happen. If there were a crazy trade offer Howie might do it but I would expect him to get the extension.

Media and fans will be anxious about it all year though.

I feel like the NFL is overstepping here. Not holding the supplemental draft when there is someone technically eligible is thin ice. They should have held the supplemental draft and then suspended him for a year. That's more in line with previous disciplinary action and in line with the punishment due to the personal conduct policy they've used in the past.

I haven't seen anything from him to suggest he is waiting for a payday to then mail it in. He is a player that is extremely competitive, loves playing and loves doing what he can to be dominant.

Philadelphia fans are generally awful though and allergic to supporting and appreciating great players.

I was fighting for the words for quite some time , adhd, being a stoner(haha my name), or just simple inability. But you nailed it - my thoughts and feelings surrounding Jalen Carter being a long term Eagle. You’re very insightful regarding our birds and often find the right words. I’m on these boards a lot , specifically 5-8 times a day. If it wasn’t for Jalen Hurts, my thoughts regarding this team would mirror yours. As well as @eagle45 (Im not quite sure on his stance, indicative to me it’s probably not extreme as yours) Right now @RememberTheKoy , despite his seemingly inability to see Hurts’ flaws, has a better grasp of what Jalen Hurts is and you have a better grasp of what he isnt. I urge you both to find the middle ground - because that’s where he is. The point of my post is to commend all those mentioned for bringing real football talk to the table , as well as those not mentioned(Mike with all those numbers , notw, bigefly) Whether I disagree with y’all or not, your input and opinions mean more than you’ll ever know. I dont know if this is a future starting point guard, or a career bench scorer. Or, a bust. But Id be pumped for him to just be a really, really good bench scorer.

When I watch Carter play, I can tell he loves playing football. When I watched Haynesworth play, I could tell he didn't. Carter needs to mature as a person. Maybe he will or maybe he'll always be a lot of great with a side of bonehead like DJax, but he isn't a quitter like Haynesworth.

A back up PG was a need so can't really complain with no bigs worth drafting at that point. I liked Carr but I think his lack of PG skills led them to Philon. We remain a 40-45 win team. Not much that can be done to change that right now.

Posted a Philon video in the 6ers thread. Guy in the video mentioned John Collins and Jack Landale as free agent options in the front court.

I dont expect a team with so much money tied up in washed Embiid and George to compete.

But it can still come together pretty nicely if some of the cheaper vets decide theyd like to come play with this exciting back court.
