He has stayed in the league longer than most Eagles 1st round draft picks that don't stay with the Eagles.

Take that, kid!

If I recall, last year some fans were complaining Kendall wasn't doing anything and might be a bust, wondered why they acquired Lampkin to not use him.

Ty Robinson was considered a bust, but has started to show some improvement in his development.

Jalyx Hunt had a good rookie year, but some thought his ceiling was low and didn't see him as a starter.

A lot of fans doubted Steen but he was solid last year.

Fans also overreacted to the 1st preseason game with a brand new offense, first time play caller, in a game with backups. After the 2nd preseason game, improvement in seeing more of the scheme, and now everyone feels really good about the O line and certain depth players.

It's almost like a team needs practice and players need development.

McKee got into a rhythm, but you also saw a lot of easy completions, that's going to be a big difference this season.

Steele looked great, but a closer look showed why he's PS bound. Blew a blitz pickup and lacks any sort of outside speed. He's a good athlete for 230 lbs, but his future is as a short yardage/fullback/ST maven. Has to show he can block as a FB and as a back in pass protection to have a NFL career.

Watkins is horrible. To be fair to the QBs, they had Cooper and little else to work with. Though Tatu and Jenkins blocked well, Jenkis didn't come down with the tough catch.

Backup OL looked great, so good they pulled Kendall and Bell after a couple series. Lumpkin is also a lock, he's not the athlete Kelce was, but he's more physical. Majors looked much better but room at the inn? Morris might beat him on the basis of upside, depends who Howie thinks he can get through waivers. Stoutland was a great coach, but he depended on big athletic OL who could win one on one battles. This scheme puts more of a premium on mobility, which is why Kendall might be a better fit than Dickinson's bad knees at LG. And why Fred Johnson will probably be cut and stashed on the PS if he clears waivers. Hinton and Williams are also PS bound. And I would expect Howie to be looking for young waiver wire guys who are good fits but in the wrong system on the teams they were cut.

Robinson looked good, Wilson was up and down but showed he can anchor against double teams. Probably cut and headed to the PS. Bernard is going to be an interesting call, he's clearly at last a year away from even being a deep backup, but he flashes athleticism and strength. Hall showed enough to make the team, but isn't good enough to project down the road.

Weru is also a project, but his athleticism could fit STs well with a year under his belt, and maybe a rotational edge rusher (but can he develop the instincts to drop into coverage effectively - which is required to start at 3-4 OLB).

Mondon looks to me to be better suited to WLB in a 4-3 than ILB in this scheme, neither physical or instinctive enough, looks best in space. Lawton is a long way from being a NHL player. Campbell shows good instincts for ILB but he's 27.

Can't anyone play CB? At least the young safeties didn't embarass themselves.

In addition Williams is only 22 years old. Fred is long toothed by comparison. I have Fred in the Howie’s Trade Bait category right now … watching the injury reports of the other 31 teams.

Why would you trade a proven guy who can step in immediately if the goal is a SB this year? Regardless of Bell you want two if you have them. It's not unrealistic with Lane's age to have him go down. Suddenly the next T off the bench sucks.

Get rid of a horrible TE or CB if you need a roster spot and keep the guy who could start in the SB.

Stuff like this is why you don't trade OL depth.

Great block by the WR or TE who came in motion from the left side of the line. Couldn’t really see his #. 80 maybe?

Yes. He's helping coach the new system. Won't be here for his play. Sucked last night.

So make him an assistant deputy to the assistant QB coach and stop stealing snaps from those that need them

And 1. The kid just jumped into his legs after he was already in the air. Bad defense by the kid.

I never heard Allen Iverson say anything like that.

Absolutely.

For S4 isn’t Michael Carter in that spot? Did he play at all last night, or was he held out?

CB5 is definitely a concern.

S3 is essentially a starter because 99% of the time we are in nickel and DeJean wont be at S.

For roster purposes its best not to consider DeJean on the S depth chart.

Mukuba, Epps, Carter, and then 1 of Wis, or Gushiken is probably S4.

Heck, maybe they should keep 5 because Carter is probably our best bet at NB2 as well.

Is Covey going to make the team? Don't see room for him. If not they should have somebody else returning punts next game. They need somebody with experience that will make the team returning punts. I know Covey could be stashed on the PS but he needs to clear waivers first. no team has ever claimed him but some contender that needs a return guy could do it.

I don't see Jake Majors making the team even though he has played well. He will be a tough cut. They have three IOL only guys in reserve counting Morris (who will make the team). They don't need four IOL only guys in reserve.

will likely be PS call up for as many games as possible to be our return man.

When we run out of call ups, then he will make the roster

By then, someone will be injured so a spot will be open for him.

Hasn't he played long enough to not go to waivers
