September 16Sep 16 @mattwill Eagles 33, Titans 10Really, there's no winning this game in terms of optics unless it's in the bag by halftime. The Jets were ahead 23-3 last week in Tennessee until garbage time. A close game this Sunday will be very concerning for the Eagles prospects versus better teams.Bonus -- Lemon averages more than 10 yards per catch (in the proper direction)
September 16Sep 16 Explains why Carter was grabbing his wrist during the game like he was throughout last year.

September 16Sep 16 Carter came out of the game pointing to his hand Sunday but then went back in. Looked like he was just trying to get water though, but probably jammed it. Didn't look to be in a ton of pain.If DeJean has a calf I'd sit him Sunday. Gonna be 100 degrees, could cramp up tighten up and make it worse.
September 16Sep 16 I think Vic Fangio has become one of my favorite eagles of all time. Not just coaches but players included. I love listening to this guy talk football. It’s so refreshing. No word salad coach speak or sugar coating. Just blunt, honest assessment and I actually really appreciate that. Seems like all his players love and respect him too. Strange how it ended for him in Miami considering how well it’s worked out here.

I can see players not liking him or the way he does things when it’s a lazy and laid back culture like it probably was under McDaniels in Miami. To his credit, Sirianni promotes an ultra competitive culture without much BS. I think Vic’s style fits much better here than it would with any other bottom feeder team.
September 16Sep 16 I feel like anytime someone says this, Hurts delivers by "being a QB” and bombing them:

And then one of the first things Vic does when he gets here is turn a special teams player in Zack Baun into a 1st team all pro at middle linebacker lol

They couldn’t even stop Geno. Hopefully the Oline fix gives the offense time to put it on these scrubs.

Week 1...DeJean grabbing low on his mid-section and wearing some kind of leg sleeve reportedly sounds like a potential core muscle injury. Im getting ready to hear about an extended absence, return after 6 weeks ineffectively, then surgery out for the season. Thats typically how the eagles manage these things. As poorly as possible maximizing time lost AND ineffective play at the same time. And Greenard still not playing. Feels like he will play eventually and the pec wont hold up. Or he will just tear his tricep like everyone else does on this DL as a right of passage.

This seems like punishment by the NFL for attempting to return to playing college football. I can see why the NFL wants to discourage players from being able to do that, but this decision seems punitive. Hate what they did but don’t like this punishment. It’s CYA for the NFL while the NCAA gets their crap together…Kiffin shouldn’t have been recruiting from NFL rosters. They didn’t really ‘simply enroll’, they were courted and recruited by Kiffin.

I don't know if it's the age range or the anti-laid back approach like LMGM said but the players bought in and he's produced all pros. His PCs are also very different from Nick so it also adds to it. I can't stand the secretiveness from Nick. Probably why I don't watch a lot of his PCs. Vic doesn't seem to care and will answer questions. He's also very honest and will say when someone did poorly. It's great

But I find myself always tuning in to Vic’s and watching them until the very end. I could listen to him all day. I love how blunt he is. He’s actually pretty hilarious without trying to be lol

They didn’t really ‘simply enroll’, they were courted and recruited by Kiffin.NCAA will never get its crap together. They are actively trying to get Congress to save them. The NCAA, under pressure from the House case issued a change in the rules after the kids that had been limited to four years (excepting the stupid "permissions” only the NCAA can grant) prepared for the draft. That change was from four years with one redshirt year to five years. They knew they weren’t going to make NIL level money as PS players, at best, so they sought to get that fifth year that every kid currently playing college ball has. Yes, LSU exploited it.Yes, they were courted and recruited by Kiffin and facing being kicked out of the SEC, LSU said, screw these kids. Yes, the NFL looks at college as developmental. So it wants to do everything to get along with the colleges. But what in the CBA, the limited antitrust exemption, or NFL bylaws allows for what it in essence a discrimination against those players for seeking the fifth year? Let’s look at Porter Martone as an example. Drafted by the Flyers and then plays at MSU. So for hockey, it’s okay? How about Thierry Darlan? He’s the G League player that the NCAA allowed to return to college. Seems hypocritical. So looking at that we blame not ready for prime time football players who tried to return under the new five years rule? Now under the current situation the NCAA says no. They are eligible under NFL rules, age and years of play, so the only reason that Goodell (royal a$$hole in my view) had for this edict is to punish these kids for seeking the current rule to apply to them (which wasn’t available until after the draft). Only bigger a$$hole than Roger is the NCAA for not announcing the rule in January. Frankly, the fact they didn’t reeks a little of collusion with the NFL. Somebody please check on my buddy @NCiggles because I am afraid that my next statement may shock him. These kids should sue Roger. (Yep, I can be pro-plaintiff when appropriate). First thing out the gate is discovery (requests for production, interrogatories, and, my favorite, requests for admissions) on the NFL and NCAA to see what communications they had during this time frame. My bet is both would settle with an NDA quicker that you can blink an eye. Remember, the NFL is already dealing with Gruden and Flores in front of separate juries on employment issues. I do not believe the NFL’s far more limited than MLB’s antitrust exemption will shield Roger from saying to 32 separate corporations that you can’t hire these individuals this year because????
