eaglesfan0075
The Bears add another WR to their current group after trading away both Anthony Miller and Riley Ridley, who both look to rebound in their careers with a change of scenery. Austin Watkins Jr. is the cousin of now Ravens WR, Sammy Watkins, and has decent speed, good size and athleticism (6'2, 207 lbs) to be the primary XWR backup behind Allen Robinson. As a rookie, he can push the underwhelming Javon Wims at the WR4 slot on 4 WR, 5 WR sets, while Shi Smith looks to fill the slot WR role.

Iggles25
2021 EMB Draft: Bills Recap 2 Asante Samuel, Jr., CB, Florida State 2 Brevin Jordan, TE, Miami 3 Tyler Shelvin, DL, LSU 5 Tarron Jackson, DE, Coastal Carolina 6 Kayode Awosika, OL, Buffalo Thoughts: With few glaring holes on the team roster, felt this draft addressed the vulnerable positions quite well. Samuel, Jr. comes in and immediately competes for CB2, and together with White, could form one of the best young corner tandems in the league. Dawson Knox has been a serviceable TE1 for Buffalo, but Jordan infuses great receiving and playmaking talent into the position. Josh Allen gets another playmaker to work with. Shelvin helps to bolster the middle of the DL, and his ability to take on double teams opens up things for pass rushers Hughes, Addison, and Epenesa. Jackson is a developmental DE prospect coming off a great year for the surprising Coastal Carolina football program. He has the luxury to hone his game behind established starters. Awosika is a late round, hometown OL gem, who will more than likely move from OT to OG at the next level. He was a mauling run blocker in college, and has the size and technique to be a starter in time.
Outlaw
With that, the Arizona Cardinals have completed their 2021 NFL Draft: R1P21 Christian Barmore, DT Bama R2P49 Tyson Campbell, CB Georgia R3P83 Kenneth Gainwell, RB Memphis R4P130 Jamien Sherwood, S Auburn R5P160 Cade Johnson, WR South Dakota State R6P204 Nick Eubanks, TE Michigan R7P243 Sam Ehlinger, QB Texas R7P249 Adrian Ealy, OT Oklahoma Started off with only 5 selections, added 3 via trade down. Pretty happy with this class. Barmore is a potential young stud at DT, Campbell gives them that size at CB with the potential to take over as the man for Patrick Peterson. Gainwell will be a beast in that offense with James Connor and Chase Edmunds. Overall a good mix of O and D. I'm happy with it, just not as happy as I am with the Browns. Sherwood and Johnson are great value where I got them.
Guest
Seahawks draft in the books. Started poorly, made a trade to early and was leapfrogged by the Football Team for Mac Jones. Kyle Trask now has a year to sit behind Nick Foles, who steps into an offense with weapons, and an improved offensive line in free agency. Settling for Surtain does replace the recently departed Shaquill Griffin, and Stills can step into the DT rotation immediately and replace the not getting any younger Al Woods. Felton will thrive in an offense with DK and Lockett, and can be moved all over the place. Starting with only 4 picks, Seattle acquired an additional pick this year in the Wilson trade, and additional firsts down the line. 1 16 16 Seahawks Patrick Surtain CB Alabama 2 24 56 Seahawks Kyle Trask QB Florida 4 24 129 Seahawks Darius Stills DT West Virginia 5 23 167 Seahawks Demetric Felton WR UCLA 7 23 250 Seahawks Tommy Kraemer OG Notre Dame Trade Acquisition Seahawks Nick Foles Trade Acquisition Seahawks 2022 1st ( Bears ) Trade Acquisition Seahawks 2022 2nd ( Bears ) Trade Acquisition Seahawks 2023 1st ( Bears )
Iggles25
2021 EMB Draft: WFT Recap 1 Mac Jones, QB, Alabama 3 Andre Cisco, S, Syracuse 3 Chazz Surratt, LB, North Carolina 3 Trey Sermon, RB, Ohio State 3 Tommy Tremble, TE, Notre Dame 4 D'Ante Smith, OT, East Carolina 7 Jonathan Adams, Jr., WR, Arkansas State 7 Wyatt Hubert, DE, Kansas State Thoughts: Going in to the 2021 EMB Draft, the WFT had a variety of 1st round targets. QB surprisingly wasn't one of them sitting at Pick 19. But when Jones fell to 15, the team made a bold move to go get their franchise QB. Jones will sit and perfect his craft learning alongside the QB Whisperer, Ryan Fitzpatrick. Cisco and Surratt come in and immediately challenge for starting positions. The WFT front 4 is arguably one of the best in the NFL, so these picks look to bolster the back 7. Cisco was a turnover machine in college, and will have ample opportunities for them at the next level with how well the WFT pressures opposing QBs. Sermon and Tremble are welcome additions to the offense. Sermon nicely complements starter Gibson as a RB2 who can be the tough north-south runner and also make plays receiving out of the backfield. Tremble is an exciting prospect to pair with rising star TE Logan Thomas, and his blocking ability was considered among the best in his draft class. LT Cornelius Lucas filled in admirably last season after the departure of Trent Williams, and will have every opportunity to cement himself as the starter going forward. OT D'Ante Smith provides much needed depth on the OL and a contingency plan at LT. He could crack the lineup next season as a swing tackle with future starter potential. Jonathan Adams, Jr. and Wyatt Hubert round out the roster nicely and could earn spots on the final 53-man roster. Adams, Jr. displayed elite vertical leap and range both in college and at his pro day. He brings big-play ability in the red zone. Hubert will have the luxury of playing behind an outstanding DE group and has the tools to develop into a serviceable pass rusher specialist. eaglesfan0075
The Chicago Bears have completed their 2021 draft. Despite trading away several picks to acquire Russell Wilson from the Seahawks (including #208 that was basically given away 😂 ) , the Bears were able to address their other major needs outside of QB in the draft. I strongly considered going in a different direction to start out the draft with the 2nd round pick and go with an OT there instead to bolster the OL, but decided to go with the theme of rebuilding a defense that has lost some firepower over the last 2 off-seasons via free agency and cap casualties. Russell Wilson has already won with a sub-par OL and an elite defense, so I decided to prioritize the defense with the remaining picks and bring in two new WRs that can complement Allen Robinson and Darnell Mooney. Rnd 2: Ifeatu Melifonwu - Should be able to push Desmond Trufant for the CB2 spot and with Trufant's injury history could end up starting as a rookie, also has some potential at safety given his size Rnd 5: Divine Deablo - Old-school SS prospect who can compete with Deon Bush for the starting job as there was no clear cut starter with Tashaun Gipson a free agent at the time of the selection. (The Bears in real life have since brought Gipson back) Rnd 5: Shi Smith - While not the biggest nor fastest WR, Shi Smith has the route-running savvy and reliable hands to be a starting slot WR right out the gate; he replaces Anthony Miller who was in the owner's doghouse and gets a fresh start with the Falcons Rnd 6: Malcolm Koonce - Should contribute as a rotational player behind Khalil Mack and Robert Quinn, as a rookie has some upside to potentially be a starter down the road Rnd 6: Jonathan Marshall - Should contribute as a rotational player behind Akiem Hicks, has a similar size/weight build to play 3-4 DE in the Bears scheme, possible Hicks replacement after next season Rnd 7: Austin Watkins Jr. - High floor prospect with albeit a somewhat lower ceiling than some of the other guys that have been drafted in the last two rounds, who should be able to push for the WR4 spot right away and has the size to backup Allen Robinson at XWR. Predominantly lined up at XWR at UAB, but also has experience lining up at ZWR and in the slot. Rnd 7: Landon Young - Started at LT for the Wildcats, most recently started 11 games at LT this season and earning 1st team All-SEC, overcame torn meniscus injury in 2018 and came back strong the following year, has a background in wrestling, winning KY state title in HS. Has great size at 6'6 and 310 lbs, ran a 4.91 at UK's Pro Day. He is more polished as a run blocker than a pass blocker given the offense that Kentucky ran, so this will be an area that needs work. While the Bears starting OL is intact for this season, both starting tackles Charles Leno Jr. and Elijah Wilkinson are going to be free agents next offseason. Young should be a valuable backup with starting potential.

Deal went down pretty quick after I put him on the trade block near the end of round 6, so the post is probably a few pages back. I wanted to get another WR for the Bears but still be able to select an OT prospect in Round 7, so it worked out.

The third this year from the 49ers actually is next year and then you mentioned the Shaheen thing. Hard to figure what would have happened with two less picks.
