My prediction for having a healthy offensive line for the year was incorrect by day 2 of training camp.  How exciting.

Some interesting numbers here

What is the time period for data analysis?  I would think 100-yard rusher drops in significance in recent years.  I would have also assumed penalties would be a much higher determining factor.

Not a surprise turnovers is the main factor.

Rugby blows.  Aussie Rules Football is a 10x better game.

Hey to each their own.

Personally I think Aussie rules is one of the silliest contact sports I've ever watched.

Reminds me of the game we used to play as kids named the politically incorrect smear the rhymes with smear.

Except when we played that game we didn't bounce the ball off our fists🤷‍♂️

Correlation doesn't equal causation.  It is likely just the opposite.   Good teams (aka, successful ones) score on their first possession, because they score on a lot of possessions.  Bad teams often struggle to score much at all, and therefore often end up trailing early.
