Frankly goff took care of the ball. Prior to this game the last 4 weeks he had 8 turnovers. Kind of think it’s cause they ran the ball to set up their passing game. I wonder what happens if they aren’t able to be ahead and fall behind and he’s forced to throw more

Week Fourteen / Game Thirteen Prediction results

Sorry for the long absence.  Bad enough that the Birds lost, but life added some wrinkles that fortunately have worked themselves out.  But the show must go on ... no rest for the weary.  The winners of the chicken dinner this week are @ManchesterEagle with a prediction of 17-31 @Giggity_goo with a prediction of 12-38.  Five predictors were off by 8 points ... @Waiting4Someday (20-34) @EaglePhan1986 (19-31) @b_west3 (17-37) @opa-opa (17-37) @Jeep_man (10-28) and @DevilMayRage (10-38).  They all fet cornish game hen dinners.

For the first thirteen games the chicken dinner has gone to:
@Alphagrand in Week One where the 66 recorded predictions were 65 for an Eagles win and 1 for a Patriots win
@Iggles25 and @bbabraham in Week Two where the 71 recorded predictions were 56 for an Eagles win and 15 for a Vikings win
@Cliftoma in Week Three where the 77 recorded predictions were 73 for an Eagles win and 4 for a Buccaneers win
@Casey @ Bat in Week Four where the 75 recorded predictions were 72 for an Eagles win and 3 for a Commanders win
@Mike030270 and @Texas Eagle in Week Five where the 78 recorded predictions were 63 for an Eagles win and 15 for a Rams win
@GoEagles5921 in Week Six where the 82 recorded predictions were 79 for an Eagles win and 3 for a Jets win
@jwill2420 and @mattwill in Week Seven where the 76 recorded predictions were 46 for an Eagles win and 30 for a Dolphins win
@Mortimer in Week Eight where the 70 recorded predictions were 66 for an Eagles win and 4 for a Commanders win
@Uscg-green in Week Nine where the 77 recorded predictions were 64 for an Eagles win and 13 for a Cowboys win
@Captain F in Week Eleven where the 86 recorded predictions were 53 for an Eagles win and 31 for a Chiefs win, and 2 were for a tie
@paco and @Mortimer in Week Twelve where the 88 recorded predictions were 74 for an Eagles win and 14 for a Bills win
@dawkins4prez in Week Thirteen where the 100 recorded predictions were 70 for an Eagles win and 29 for a Niners win and 1 with no score, and
@ManchesterEagle and @Giggity_goo in Week Fourteen where the 96 recorded predictions were 54 for an Eagles win and 42 for a Cowboys win.

The Bonus pick results this week had the following winners:

@Han Solo with "Jalen Carter scores a TD"
@Next_Up with "D scores a TD"
@Outlaw with "Bland does not get another pick 6"
@manz2821 with "Hurts with at least one turnover"
@Westbrook#36 with "Eagles never have the lead"
@Captain F with "Lamb gets a TD"

Honorable Mentions go to

@dawkins4prez with "Eagles fans grow a searing hatred for Jake Ferguson"
@Casey @ Bat with "Defense continues to stink it up. All Hell breaks loose on the message board" which can be upgraded if the general consensus is that all hell did break out here. Given my absence, I missed the post game reaction.
@devpool with "Turnovers rear their ugly heads again as the offense tries too hard. 2 interceptions and a fumble."  The first part was right and the turnover total was also right.
@Waiting4Someday with "The Birds continue to struggle with their identity as they can neither run the ball efficiently nor get stops on 3rd down consistently.  Dak throws for 3TDs with Ceedee getting one them."
@DevilMayRage with "Eagles are taking it up the proverbial sphincter this game. This team is broken."

Here are the 196 predictions in score order

The Game Score Predictions window for the Seahawks game is open

As always, please tag your prediction post with @mattwill that way I will be sure to see/record it.  Score predictions can also have an optional "Bonus Pick" tiebreaker prediction.  So far over the course of the season 118 different EMB posters have made at least one prediction.

For anyone who missed the results of the first 13 weeks, the post below takes you to a recap of those results

13 hours ago, Sack that QB said:

Vikings don't have half the Eagles talent on D, but play respectably almost every game since October.

what happens when you have a good DC, & let him actually run his own defensive scheme.

11 hours ago, Joe Ball said:

That’s what I was thinking when they came to DAL…zero sacks, they were specifically getting the ball out in under 2.5 seconds to avoid sacks.

Dallas sucks so

It's a move that I've been made to do and done to others in the private sector.  It's a young unit in places and you want to see who is engaged not paying attention, etc.  Byard is helping his coaches out and his peers by putting some pressure onto the players.  I don't see a massive issue - if it was an all players meeting. I'd be very concerned for a 10-3 team.

As for the treatment of DiSandro, embarrassing from the NFL.  If he'd pummelled Greenlaw and thrown his body in the Scbuykill, I'd agree. As it is, they have more important things to worry about like Kazee concussing an opposition player again

That never happens.

The issue with DiSandro is 100% who he did it with/to, and his reaction to it.  He dared to touch/engage Greenlaw.  Greeenlaw's ridiculous over reaction then took over and he threw a pathetic punch.  That got Greenlaw the ejection.  But, they had to remove Dom, because of Greenlaw's reaction.  IMO, Greenlaw should have been 'randomly' selected for drug testing.   Dude is a dirty player, but also might be dealing with roid rage.  (Incidentally, in the NBA Draymond Green should also be tested... for the same reasons.)

The whole Byard/Desai think was most likely poor reporting from the initial story.  It’s really easy to take out of context from our end.

Has Byard and the secondary lost confidence in the coaching staff to the point they said "hey, let us do the scouting this week and figure out what we should do.”  That’s not far off from how they wrote it.

Or did they just take more initiative in going home and going through the film?  (Probably).

Ultimately, it doesn’t matter.  We can’t know or judge what goes on behind the scenes in the preparation process, even if it sounds concerning/reassuring/bad/impressive.  It’s the final product that matters.

I honestly get Greenlaw’s side of this.

Everyone cheered the Dawkplex and now vilifies Greenlaw?  Like Dawk, he came in too high for a tackle and couldn’t get 130lb Smith down.  The whistle blew once he was already trying to lift him to get him on the ground.  Justifiable flag for sure, but I don’t think it was the world’s dirtiest play.  Then he’s got someone who doesn’t belong on the field shouting and putting a hand on him.

I get it.  You’d all be pissed at the Eagles if roles were reversed.

If a fan runs onto the field and starts screaming at a player, puts a hand on them, and the player throws a half effort punch…who is going to get in more trouble?

I hate that they moved this game to Monday. The entire nation gets to see the Eagles choke again 👎

Some good news. Looks like Geno Smith's status for the game is still uncertain so it might be Drew Lock at QB.

Right...and our defense will make him look like the second coming of Marino as he throws for 400 yards on 35/40 passing and 3 TD's.

I'd like to think we can handle Drew Lock so I'm trying to be a little optimistic.

They won't have to throw that much.   More like 22/26 for 375 yards and 4 TDs.

This season is going from Super Bowl to Toilet Bowl in a hurry......

While my expectations are low, I’m looking forward to Ringo starting.  Will be nice to see an under 30 player at cb who isn’t a UDFA.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
