The Eagles skipped training camp and preseason last year and stayed very healthy.  I'm not one of those who fiercely debates their no-contact camps, but I was always a bit apprehensive of going from 0 contact to 60 minutes of it in week 1.  That game really took a toll on them.

Luckily they get a mini bye before week 3

It's week 2 and the defense will be starting Terrell Edmunds, Justin Evans, Christian Ellis, and Nicholas Morrow.  If you were to take the 4 worst starters on every defense in the NFL, that group would be pretty close to #32, if not dead last.

I’m not sure more contact in training camp would have prevented two rib injuries and a concussion. I have no idea how Dean got hurt, but maybe there’s something there.

It means K9 is a hugely effective tool.  I would rank it above tasers by a long way because tasers require proximity a K9 doesn’t of the officer.  I suspect though we are getting close to AI level drones with non lethal tools like tasers and bean bags. Frankly, I suspect within the next decade we will see them deployed.

Probably not.  Injuries in pro football are such small numbers compared to things that can meaningfully be used as evidence in statistics.  It’s all speculation.
