Just read that chiiefs groundskeepers turned on the sprinklers pre game while it was raining to soak the field...

Gee i wonder why they would do that....🤔

Nobody is putting in a claim for him. He's going to be an Eagle 🙂 Siri and Shane connection.

Very well could be the reason he's not an Eagle

I understand homefield advantage, but if the league cares so much about player safety like they say they do than this should be penalized and reprimanded. That's for all players, Chiefs included. No one should have to play on a field like that.

just now hearing that Hufanga tore his ACL. Absolutely massive blow to SF's defense. That might just put DET as the top contender for the #1 seed now.

9-1 team. Stuck up for Siri in the past. Could be something already in the works :)

Lions have the most favorable schedule but doubt they win out.

Actually, I bet a slick field would lead to less injuries not more. Most of the major injuries we see are due to excessive torque and pressure applied to leg joints as a result of traction along the foot-ankle-knee chain. In other words, you can't twist an ankle/knee if your foot doesn't have enough grip to be firmly planted in the ground. Same reason why players are hurt more often on artificial turf than natural turf, much higher coefficients of friction involved.

Week Eleven / Game Ten Prediction results

Once the weather forecast of Rain came in @Captain F made a last minute adjustment to his high scoring prediction to a 20-16 Eagles win, and that won this week's Chicken Dinner.  Honorable mention goes to @aptosbird and @DrPhilly who predicted a 23-20 Eagles win. Captain F also hit on his tiebreaker, so he is a self-proclaimed Nostradamus.

For the first te games the chicken dinner has gone to:
@Alphagrand in Week One where the 66 recorded predictions were 65 for an Eagles win and 1 for a Patriots win
@Iggles25 and @bbabraham in Week Two where the 71 recorded predictions were 56 for an Eagles win and 15 for a Vikings win
@Cliftoma in Week Three where the 77 recorded predictions were 73 for an Eagles win and 4 for a Buccaneers win
@Casey @ Bat in Week Four where the 75 recorded predictions were 72 for an Eagles win and 3 for a Commanders win
@Mike030270 and @Texas Eagle in Week Five where the 78 recorded predictions were 63 for an Eagles win and 15 for a Rams win
@GoEagles5921 in Week Six where the 82 recorded predictions were 79 for an Eagles win and 3 for a Jets win
@jwill2420 and @mattwill in Week Seven where the 76 recorded predictions were 46 for an Eagles win and 30 for a Dolphins win
@Mortimer in Week Eight where the 70 recorded predictions were 66 for an Eagles win and 4 for a Commanders win
@Uscg-green in Week Nine where the 77 recorded predictions were 64 for an Eagles win and 13 for a Cowboys win, and
@Captain F in Week Eleven where the 86 recorded predictions were 53 for an Eagles win and 31 for a Chiefs win, and 2 were for a tie.

The Bonus pick results this week had the following winners:

@DrPhilly with "Hurts with two rushing TDs, one tush push and one called QB run or RPO"
@Eagz with "Hurts with 2 rushing TDs"
@WentzFan11 with "Byard gets an INT"
@garingovt2000 with "Mann with two 50 plus yard punts"
@Freshmilk with "Eagles win turnover battle"
@Captain F with "Travis Kelce fumbles a ball"
@FranklinFldEBUpper with "Travis Kelce 7+ catches and 1+ TD(s)"
and with the weakest ever Bonus Prediction by @paco "They will mention that the Kelces are brothers . There will be talk about Taylor Swift for some reason."

Honorable Mentions go to
@opa-opa with "I hope I'm wrong though"
@bpac55
with "Bonus, even thought she won't be in attendance anymore, no less than 5 Taylor Swift mentions and 3 Donna Kelce mentions."
@Cochis_Calhoun with "Smith over 100 yards"
@kiwinavega with "Eagles do just enough to win a close one. They control the clock long enough to keep the Chiefs offense off the field as much as possible and a key moment will be one of the big defensive front forcing a turnover."

The 86 predictions were as follows:

I meant top contender for us, not favored to get the spot ahead of us. We are, of course, still in the driver's seat.

I was using Spotrac, so not sure what the disagreement is. They could restructure him and kick most of it into next year so not to use all of their space, but it's probably not likely. It would be paying for name value at that price.

Not a disagreement, I just use Over the Cap vs Spotrac, I do not understand why they are different. The salary cap next year needs work so picking him up and pushing it to next year is a bad idea IMO. He likely has some good football still left in him, but the Cowboys can't afford to take a chance on a player that might not play up to the contract at this point. Been there done that, maybe doing it with a couple of players right now.

Does he not have space for a league minimum contract?

Yup exactly👍

The defense did come up big last night, but it still can't be understated how awful they are situationally. Specifically at the end of first halves and end of game. They gave up the field goal after the offense went three out before half. And they basically gave up the potential game-losing TD if MVS could catch and they gave up a freaking 4th and 25 if Watson catches it. It feels like it's just part of their identity at this point.

I like Cunningham and Morrow as starters. But this guy wants to play. He probably wouldn't play much in the the next gauntlet of games here. Don't think rotation works well at LB. And don't think anyone will claim him with hefty contract. As cheap depth, sure I'd take a flyer as a free agent.

Byard with an INT was a lock this week. Should’ve gambled on it.

Agree on the others, but that Watson catch wasn't exactly a drop. Slay hit him right at the contact point so it's not like it was a gimme that he just couldn't bring in like that MVS catch was, or like Kelce's earlier in the game.

This...I remember in the game last night, I'm like why is he not audibling out to another play on these obvious blitzes? I even asked if he audibled much in the chat...

Good question - there are times when they seem to adjust the call.  We don't typically see routes being adjusted at the line.

Desai should be commended for his play calling last night.  Other than maybe 2 Chiefs drives the play calling on defense was spectacular.

It’s kinda funny how a great individual play by Roby to punch the ball out and MVS dropping a long TD where they schemed up the exact matchup they want really skews our perception.

We are likely to be in a position where we have to root for DAL to beat DET in order to get the #1 Seed.

Not sure I'd go that far, but he did well enough all things considered. Still tons of room for improvement, but at least we're seeing progress.
