Those situations are not even close to being the same. Players age and their skills can improve or decline so every year a QB needs to be evaluated individually.

Saying a QB was paid like an elite player has to be based on when the contract was given. Otherwise every single player in the NFL would be underpaid because contracts are always rising. Evaluating player performance vs money are two entirely different things.

And guess what, in a year without a new deal Jalen Hurts will fall even farther down the ranking of highest paid QBs. But if he has another season like he did in 2025 and hypothetically were to be a free agent, there is no chance that any team would pay him 50m per season. So you can say he's not paid like an elite QB anymore if you want, but he's certainly not worth 50m per season the way he's playing. Redistribute that money elsewhere and go draft yourself a QB. Just like they did with Wentz and Hurts. Of course if he has a great season in 2026 then he will have earned the money and a new contract. So all he needs to do is go out and play that way and all of this is moot. That's the great thing about sports, players have a chance to prove their worth.

Was really poking fun at the Chiefs. They certainly did benefit as the league darlings there for awhile. I've never seen a team in my life get so many calls. You could breathe on Mahomes and he gets a roughing the passer call or a personal foul call as he flops out of bounds.

I am not gonna make any excuses for Hurts if it's obvious that's he's the primary reason they lose. Last year he was maybe 4th on the list why they lost. It was a total **** show. Toss it out and see what he does here. Besides that, why is he getting zero grace with 2 Superbowl appearances in 4 years while other schlubs like Prescott, Allen, Jackson and Burrow get knobbed by Collingsworth and the media for winning absolutely nothing and noone says a word about them having shaky standing on their teams. Delusional haters in here.
