I've taken a few weeks off.

Has anything miraculous happened at the QB position while I was gone?  Any shirtless workout posts showing never-before-seen QB work ethic?  Any 600# deadlift pics?

I feel like I have to have missed something.

We were top 5 in DVOA in 2017 despite resting all our starters in week 17. We went 13-3. We didn't fluke into a title win.
Also, we were 4th in DVOA in 2016. There were positive signs of success the year before.

In regards to winning with an average QB being an outlier which is what he was stating, we won the Super Bowl as an outlier with a backup QB.

The Eagles, as a team was not.

Any team that wins a Super Bowl will uabe won because of the team.  You said teams can't don't win Super Bowls with average QB play because those are outliers.

Foles stats in the SB were not average. He played lights out, earned the SB MVP, and outscored the GOAT (Tom Brady).

Go watch that game again.

No arguments here. @jsb235 things winning with an average qb is easy and some what common. It's not. he named 8 guys in the last 20 years to play for a superbowl. Where I can name about 100 average qb's that barely have a playoff appearance.

It's hard winning a Super Bowl no matter who your QB is unless that QB is Brady.

Foles as a QB is below average.

But it is easier with an elite or above average passing QB.

He is streaky. Sometimes average.

He played exceptionally well in the SB run.

His cleats are in the Hall of Fame for his record tying 7 Touchdown game versus the Raiders.

Think about this... Siriani and Shane said, we gotta keep Hurts under 20 attempts and under 8 rushing attempts and I think we'll have a great chance to win in the final 10 games and it's exactly what they did.

Still thinking

Sheil is leaving The Athletic.

Big loss. Honestly, he was the best thing about BwF.

I hope he sticks around the city.

He's joining The Ringer.

In terms of Philly sports, the athletic the last year lost two of the best. Bodner left but still does his podcast with hofman. And now sheil. Still have Jayson stark (more national baseball but has local ties), Gelb and Berman. Charlie O’Connor is good for flyers but the flyers are a complete dumpster fire and have no direction so hard to cover that team right now.

Terrible place to lose him to. The Ringer is such low level content.

Well that sucks. There has been a pretty big exodus this off season from The Athletic, I was wondering which of 3 was going to leave.

That really stinks.  He was a big reason I got an Athletic subscription.  I will still listen to the podcast because Bo and Zack do make good observations about the team and players.  He will be sorely missed from that podcast.

Really thinking hard if I want to keep my subscription.  Raised the price by a dollar a month and lose Sheil.  I enjoy Berman and like Nyguen but I would pay not to read Bo Wulf and Bugler isn’t very good in draft assessment. Leaning towards canceling.

Levis so far is the consensus #3 guy, high praise from Cosell here as well.

Cosell was right about the release, the ball explodes off Richardson's hand.

Foles had a few "outlier" accomplishments that many QBs would be happy to have.  Not bad even if it is an outlier.

Foles' accomplishments should also credit the coaches who knew how to get the most out his abilities and circumstances.
