Slater is still good. But their right tackle might be the worst RT and if he’s not at least bottom 5.

Yeah. While the Birds may go OTT on the OL/DL drafting and coaching. Teams like the Chargers show why they historically err on the side of draft them high and pay the OL coach well.  They have a franchise QB, and persist in not protecting him

I would add to this, Austin Ekeler hasn’t been anywhere close to what he has been the past couple years. He might also be on the decline

no penalties on body slams

He's getting more dinged and that OL isn't helping him stay clean.  I suspect it's why he was asking for more money in the offseason; he knew his career is on the down slope now

Stupid play by the 49ers' player to fall down and cut block the defender.

And, that was the weakest hit out of bounds I've ever seen.    But, he made contact.  So, they call it.

We already know that Ronnie Bell doesn't know how to block downfield

offsetting penalties on SF fake punt that was converted..try again

I said this last year, the reason why the Chargers blow a lot of leads is cause their oline is not good at run blocking. When you look at Austin Ekeler his yards per carry on the surface it looks good. But that’s because he’ll break one big one every game and then the rest of the time he’s getting 1 to 3 yards. They arent consistently effective running the ball.

Looking at the replay it looks like SF was screwed and the player just slipped but oh well

That was the guy that tackled Blankenship on a long Deebo TD and didn't get called for the gold.

Kind of like Swift recently...

The Chargers are one of a number of teams where you just know the OL is going to be bad overall yoy.  Panthers, Gint, Commies to name 3

Anyone else notice that Drew Lock looks better than Jalen Hurts against the Niners?

Ertz adds no value to this team when Goedert is available.  But Goedert is an ongoing injury risk, so an issue there would turn it into a perfect match.

Disagree

ertz is optimally used as the move F tight end. Goedert is the Y

God i hate the niners

Or he faked falling down really well.  Doesn't matter though, it ended up being a cut block whether it was intentional or not.

Meanwhile, Seahawks have nothing to answer the 49ers.   Looks like game over with that TD.

They kept on running with Charbonnet and it wasn't working. What was working was throwing to Metcalf and they went away from that.

Niners will lose at least one more game we’ll see if the Eagles take care of business on their end

They are trying to hide Lock.

Good thing it took Buffalo til firing Dorsey to remember they had James cook

Ertz would make an impact on this team very quickly.  He may not be at his physical prime, but would offer quality snaps
