So there’s a good chance if you don’t pick up third and 10, Kansas City’s gonna have like two minutes and 2 timeouts to go to the length of the field and get a FG or touchdown. I would go as far to say that this team has been incredibly successful despite mediocre coaching over the past 2 seasons.

In reality, I think it will grow in popularity. It already did well for the league.

It was a nice way to add some meaning to early season games. And its format ends up making the tournament a 1 and done format (after group stage), so it really feels like anyone can win. It isnt likely to be the same team every year. Much different from the 7 game series in the regular playoffs.

Interestingly, I avoided watching all those games because I found the floor (literally, the playing surface) unwatchable.
