We've qualified for the playoffs and the Regular Season Blog is slowing down.

This Blog should be faster.

We've also added more leg room and expanded the snack bar.

Thanks, CE. Looking forward to the tailgating, Snack Recipes,  Playoff Run and General Mayhem that is the Blog.

 Thanks for this. :Eagle_smiley:

He's probably playing but they want Saints thinking Minshew may play again

I don't think so. He basically sounded exactly the same as last week and more or less said he's not going to be at practice today.

I love ipa's. Which ones have you had that you didn't like? There's been a few for me but most of them I like

I have no problem drinking them but they're kind of a last resort if I'm out. The most recent I had was the Chouffe IPA which was good but Belgian ales are more up my alley if I'm going to purchase something for home.

Isn’t a torn adductor like a Grade 3 groin strain?  Doesn’t muscle have to be through the tear for it to be a sports hernia?

No.  Sports hernia, according to the national leaders in surgically repairing then, which is vincera institute in Philly, have been re-termed "core muscle injury"

It's not necessarily an adductor, though it can be.  It can also be rectus abdominis or transverse abdominis, or a host of other muscles that attach in that area.

What they discovered is this tissue that they describe as similar to the covering in a baseball. Most surgeons focused on just the tendon injury,  but this fascia or aponeurosis or whatever you can it is also torn,  and can sort of shift around.  They repair that, and stabilize it as well.

The anatomy is extremely involved.  There are like over 100 permutations of different combinations of muscles that can be involved.  And their angle of pull on that baseball tissue needs to be considered,  exactly in repair to stabilize that baseball tissue.

They also have their own MRI technique for diagnosing this.  Most hospitals do a pelvis MRI. Sports hernia requires what is called the Jefferson protocol ( Thomas Jefferson University Hospital) which uses a different coil and shoots the pictures at a 45 degree angle.

This is probably why it seems lane has seen numerous specialists already,  and has probably had at least 2 MRIs.

And no, there is no herniation in a "sports hernia". It's not really a hernia at all.  It's a torn tendon.

That's why you don't see the Eagles using the term anymore.

Also seems like Hurts isn't talking to the media this week which means he's probably not playing.

If I was a betting man:

Hurts doesn't play until the playoffs

Lane tries to play and cant

This is no miracle year like 2017. we lose in the Divisional rd.

Stubborn, arrogant coaches who won a Super Bowl with a prior franchise have absolutely outstanding track records after time off.

Haha, good football Coach, still punchable face...:angel

Would you want this guy at your Podium every week explaining why they lost?..Denver might...if he could resurrect Russ...

If that's the case I'll be interested to see how Minshew performs in the pocket this week.  He looked rather skittish to me; at least he seemed to have happy feet.  I attributed that to first game action in almost a year against opponents rushing live in Week 16.

If you are a fan of the sport itself, then your statement is patently false.  If you re not particularly a fan of the sport, but rather identify with the final scores of the contests, then you are correct.  Over time, the idealism of the former has evolved into the jaded winner take all attitude of the latter.

Beat the crap outa everybody, #1 Across the Board, Own the League, Polish the Lombardi...

What's the issue?

Give me a CB or S with pick 63

Value just wasn't there at 63, so I took the 41st overall player that slid to 63.

The only corners available were Tre'Vius Hodges-Tomlinson, 5'9" slot corner, or I could have reached for Tyrique Stevenson the 80th ranked player, but I took a shot he would slide to 86th.

Safety was about the same, reach or hope for a slide.

In regards to Lane Johnson, just my opinion but I think you will find out a lot about how they really feel about his post season availability with how they plan these next two weeks. If they are confident, I think Driscoll starts and plays at RT. If they have doubt, I think they move Mailata to RT and have Dillard start at LT.

I feel pretty confident Driscoll starts at RT. He's solid. People way overstate him being a liability and also overstate that Dillard is this vast improvement over him(he isn't). Not to mention we have no idea how Mailata would even perform at RT when he's had some issues this year at LT as it is. Frankly, I think moving Mailata to the RT to accommodate a mediocre player like Dillard would be absolutely asinine.

Saturday was Dallas' first playoff game. They brought more urgency and a strategy. This time of year is all about  matchups. The deep and intermediate middle has been exposed. Running your best WR out of the slot was a tactic that Washington and now Dallas have used effectively. This is a bit more than just having coaching scheme to overcome weaknesses. It is about personnel and having people with the right skills. They got a couple weeks to figure it out so hopefully people can step up.

Said before, but we win the Dallas game with a Gym Shorts Sticks Defense on 3rd and 30.

No resaonable explanation for the D we deployed ( Cover 2) at that Down and Distance.

Keep em in front, tackle, off the field, game over.

Can't wait to see em again tho, if they can make it.

They would clinch the division but not the #1 seed

I think it has more to do with people assuming Mailata at RT (more natural position for his size and skillset) would be less of a drop off from Lane vs anyone else there.

And Dillard has done well at LT when given the opportunity, especially in pass pro.

Willing to bet that the Eagles aren't sure if Jalen is playing or not, and that's reflected in the line.

If Hurts isn't ready, they're not going to rush him.

I can't see Malik Willis beating them.

Their best bet is to have Willis run himself like 20 plus times and throw very little, maybe just short and then pound it with Henry.  That's their only chance at beating them.

I've never quite understood the flak Gannon gets.  The RBs fumbled twice against the Cowboys and a WR was soft on another turnover; the D had 1 bad play and the world is ending.  The team needs to play a lot better and some players like Scott have to be on it more, but this D has been very good all season.  Josh Sweat is on fire this season but it's kind of flying under the radar

As for Blake Jarwin, memory says the Eagles tried to sign him off of the Cowboys practice squad in 2016/2017? and that forced the Cowboys to elevate him on the roster.  There always been interest there.

You think the D call on 3rd and 30 was appropriate?

Not knocking Gannon so much but that one changed the game.
