Bagnet isn’t it? He’s spikey and spunky. He’s not the kind of back up QB you’d want to face on a one week type game.

Lol, bro, he sucks.

Wicks might be a real find and they gave up next to nothing for him. He is legit.

My best friend is a huge Packers fan. He told me when that trade went down that we got him for a steal, and that he rather kept him than Reed. Like every other Packers fan and their beat writers, he consistently said if he learns to catch consistently he’s gonna be really good. That’s been his biggest issue since coming into league is consistency with his hands. Because he gets off the line well, he runs good routes, and he create separation. Plus, he knows this offense somewhat because he was with mannion in Green Bay and they ran something similar.

Would you rather play the Bears with Caleb Williams or Tyson Bagent?

Cooper, Wicks and Lemon all showing something. Devanta is whi we thought he was. Brown and Moore not even relevant right now. This is a deep group. And Hurts does not have to please one guy and look over his shoulder. Playing free and easy.

The way this defense has played the last 2 weeks? And the way this defense tends to play against back ups? And that this team tends to play in close games only? I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s got opportunities to lead them to a win.

The running game took a hit with saquon going down and the line still having issues. It was like running back by committee and they still didn't break 100. Jalen almost threw the ball 40 times today.

Ben Johnson is a better coach than Saleh. I think it’s harder in game to adjust to your start quarterback going out than it is when you have a week to prepare. Plus I actually think the bear is back up bagent is OK. I don’t think he’s great, but I actually think he could be competent.

Yep and he also seems to have to fit in really well with team from a culture perspective. If their line could just play a little bit better and Goedert gets back healthy this passing game could be legit. Hurts is clearly playing at a different level right now.

I’m with you - the eagles team has looked underwhelming in different ways. Bagent isn’t better than Williams but he likely won’t need to be.

Bagent. However, I give bagent credit he came in at the w d of the fourth-quarter. the end of the game with just a minute and no timeouts, he led them all the way down into the red zone and nearly won them that game. Pathetically he was actually better today than what Caleb Williams look like the first 3 quarters of that game.

Bagent is a solid backup. The Eagles should win that game. the defense needs to be better against the run. Starts with guys like Campbell being better and even Epps on tackling.

Gonna be an easy win foe Dallas

Commanders going to be a last place team and Quinn is going to get canned. I’ll be it. I think it’s more. The front office just made a team drastically older and besides tunsil (now hurt)really haven’t done a great job fixing that OL

The Eagles have to really figure out the D. They are still getting gashed between the tackles. The DL is doing their job but where are the LB’s and S’s. It could get ugly with the Bears.

It’s Campbell. He is a liability against the run. Frankly, I want to see Trot get some of those reps.

This was very much an I don’t give a flying F where you were drafted game. Think Kendall outplayed Jurgens. Cooper is better than Lemon at this point. For the football gods’ sake, until Lemon figures out how not to telegraph a screen, stop throwing them to him. Who knew they signed Hollywood Brown to run reverses. In a game where Saquon missed most of a half and was limited and without Goedert, glad this was a win. Tackling fundamentals will be the name of the game in practice this week.

Eagles need to get better on kickoff coverage. (Kickoff team has existed for two weeks so I know it’s in progress).

The four biggest concerns with this team for me right now

  1. Offensive line has to be better. I get going up against Jeffrey Simmons is a tough task. And I also think the Titans line is actually good. But they gotta be better. I still think some of this is they’re learning a new blocking scheme along with a new offense so it’s good to take them time. Even Lane Johnson didn’t look great today.

  2. The tight end position is a mess right now. Dallas goedert is hurt which is not unexpected. That’s been his career. And you really don’t have anything behind him that’s competent enough. Short term an issue and long term of stowers doesn’t develop.

  3. I worry about the Campbell. I didn’t expect him to be Dean right away. Cause he hasn’t had enough reps. And he is not the player in run defense that Dean became. But man, he’s really struggling in run defense and his pass defense isn’t great either. They need him to play better. I’m hoping as the season goes on he gets better.

  4. The safety position to me is very questionable. Makuba has shown at times he could be a really good safety. Others times last year that he was a rookie. He hasn’t had a lot of time because he missed half the season. I think he’ll be fine if he stays healthy. I think Epps or Carter are solid backups that can give you some quality play for a couple weeks. More then play the more i think they begin to show their limitations.

My priorities:

1) Starting Safety- No answer on the roster now. Won't get solved til trade deadline. Howie should have snatched one of the 1yr/$5M guys that were available in FA. But if gets Reid, it's worth the waiting.

2) TE- Easy Fix. Ertz. Need Goedert insurance. And can find plenty of situational spots for him.

3) OL- Figure they need time and will figure this out internally with different shuffling potential with guys and good depth on roster this year. At least can be average here at LG/ C going forward.

4) LB. Can be solved internally. Sub out Campbell for Trotter if doesn't make progress.

Final Eagles-Titans Game Score Prediction Results

It was a nail biter rather than a walk on the beach, but when all the dust settled, this week's chicken dinner winner is @EmeraldArcher7154 and @TEW both with a prediction that matched the 24-20 final score. @greend gets a shout out with his Eagles 20 Titans 24 reverse jinx prediction.

It was a henhouse raid week for Bonus picks. Eight were correct:

@joemas72 with "One of the backup RBs will score a TD"

@EaglePhan1986 with "Smith goes for 100+ receiving yards and a TD "

@Mat with "Smith 100+ yards and a TD"

@Utebird with "Smitty gets 1st TD"

@Alphagrand with "Lemon averages more than 10 yards per catch (in the proper direction)”

@Keystone80x with "Lemon gets positive yards this game."

@eagle45 with " Nolan Smith with a sack"

@Talonblood with "Jake Elliot makes a 50+yarder"

Two more were at least 50% correct

@BigEFly with "Darius Cooper reception, and Hunt sack"

@EmeraldArcher7154 with "Sirianni teams plays down to their opponents and the team is not good offensively. Offense will sputter with 3 and outs causing the D to get burnt out before the 4th qtr. same song and dance"

@rrfierce with "Jalen Carter plays with a clubbed hand and still gets a sack"

Then there were two more for which I need help from someone who watched the game since all I was able to do was listen to the radio broadcast. They are:

@McMVP with "Willie Lampkin runs a FB snap or two"

@paco with "One of the players vomits on the field"

We had a respectable 96 predictions submitted with 95 for an Eagles win and @greend with his reverse jinx prediction meant 1 for a Commies win. So, for the first time ever all the predictions submitted were correct. The average predicted score was Eagles 28 Commies 14.

Here is the final list of the 96 predictions and bonuses:

Yup we’ve been saying Campbell’s run defense is a liability. They really need to start using Trotter on early downs. Because it’s gotten to the point he’s not getting off blocks and just being manhandled for lack of a better words.

Amazing they played an entire half without a TE. Should have just played an extra OL they weren't fooling anyone.

I don't like having to play at that 49ers electrical stadium field late in the stadium. It just claimed another one of their players.

Had to watch the game on fast forward after it ended. Very impressed with hurts and some of the throws he was making.

Defense needs to play trotter on early downs, Campbell gets lost on running downs.

Howie really mismanaged tight end this offseason. What a mess. Mundt has been rough. We know Calcaterra can’t play. Stowers is probably on IR with a phantom injury and can’t play even if he was healthy.

Compounded it by reaching for a tight end project in the draft which was IMO out of panic. Howie didn’t have a great offseason and almost always their seasons reflect the quality of their offseasons.

I am for adding a safety at the trade deadline. But you kind of saw what happened when they tried to do it back in 2023. Granted they have fangio and not Desai. I think incorporating a safety midway through the season is hard to get them up to speed. I think you do it anyways cause I think you need the upgrade.

Only issue with Ertz is he also doesn’t block well. You really don’t have a tight end beside mundt on this roster that can actually block. I’d do it anyway cause they need more than what they have. I still think they should draft a tight end early next year too. Don’t know what stowers is gonna be. Plus really he might be the only one on the roster heading into the off-season next year.

Based on early tiebreakers, Washington winning the Panic Bowl today against Dallas would be good, lol.
