This team could very well lose to the Giants with how they've been playing. This isn't a guaranteed win

A change-of-pace, power run game to compliment Swift would make a huge difference for this offense.

They even have the player to do it, but they are too stupid to make it happen.

Long, time-consuming scoring drives would solve so many problems for this team.

Kenneth Walker showed us that last night.

Does anyone ever ask the coaches why Penny never plays?

I think we’d need to change the nature of the run game as Hurts can’t take the punishment anymore

Hurts only works in an offense where he's running the football. If you're 3 years in with a running QB and he's already cooked, physically, then your problem has become waaaaay worse. And to be honest, I feel you're right. It's Wentz all over again. The athleticism is gone and he's not developed mentally enough to evolve into a QB who can beat you with his arm alone.

They did that in the first half. Yet still managed to watch the defense crumble away in the second half. Also how about not running out of shotgun every single time.

The shotgun is a major problem, as it robs the RB of forward momentum AND it tips the defense to which side we are running to.

At least they have a new run play where Kelce pulls a bit so they don’t know the exact gap (thanks to Stout most likely).

What a great signing he’s been. Penny/Swift was supposed to be the one two combo but nope. They’d rather force Gainwell because he’s the better pass blocker… riiiiight

Right, so he gave up 92 yards in a minute and 24 seconds to an offense led by a career backup? I must have missed him out on the field on defense.

No, but he put them in a position where that drive mattered because he has no situational awareness. Anyone defending the play of Hurts on here today is delusional. The ONLY positive I saw last night was that Ringo outplayed my expectations.

If you say so. Devito about to have the game of his career.

Eagles are at home, backs against the wall, Devito has come hurtling down to earth. The circumstances say the Eagles win. That being said, I think there's a real chance they lose to them in NY.

On another note, Trey Sermon had a good game on Saturday.

He really didn't. That a box score game. Indy just completely whipped the Steelers.

Ringo might prove useful down the road against teams like SF who run outside and throw to the flat to get shedding/tacking match-ups against finesse CBs.

Agreed on Ringo...I also like what I see with Sidney Brown.

Ringo should start for the rest of the year.

I am not complaining about the refs.

I am not complaining about the refs.

I have a question in general. Last night's game included, but this is not about questioning last nights game.

We know we have this long FG thing working against us.

I feel like there is something similar with this team and PI calls. Is it just because we are biased as fans or is it really, really lopsided how many extremely ticky tack PI, and holding calls go against our CBs vs how often our WRs do not get the call at all on far more egregious infractions?

Last nights game is a clear example of what I mean. The Bradberry call was kind of ridiculous. But even worse when nothing is called for Quez, OR for AJ Brown on the last throw of the game.

And it feels like there are numerous more instances of this bias in every single game.

The wheels have completely come off on offense. Hard to have any confidence that they can get it straightened out with the same people in the room, but they still have 3 weeks to bring in Reich or someone else to help out. They have to do it now though, while there's still time to make the needed adjustments.

Anyone on free agents list that Eagles be willing to take a look at ?

https://nfltraderumors.co/top-100-2023-nfl-free-agents-list/

why???? how would any of those players help us for the rest of this season?

I know @ManuManu didn't like the insinuation that Ringo is better, but man how could he be worse?

It’s not just that. Post June 1st just means you push most of the dead money to 2025 which would be like $13M

I know, but at least you don't eat the whole hit at once. There's really no other way to get out of that contract though. Nobody is trading for him.

That was Brian Griese on that drive for Chicago. That was such a frustrating season.

There's a $255M reason why Desai got "axed" and BJ didn't. BJ is the biggest problem on this team. I'm sure everyone is the FO knows it. But who's going to be the one to neuter Hurt's best friend and destroy the trust relationship between the team and franchise QB?

Everyone keeps complaining about the defense and I get that.  The defense is what it is at this point.  The linebackers are non existent and the secondary is average at best.  That said, I think they are doing what they can based on the talent they have.

The issue is the offense folks! If the offense plays up to their potential (Including Jalen Hurts) they should easily score close to 30 points a game or more - that’s how much talent this offense has.

They need to focus on commanding and controlling the game on offense - keep the defense fresh (The defense actually gets stops when they’re fresh) and off the field as much as possible.  They need to forget about the "big play ball” until it’s given to them.  They need to stop forcing big plays when they’re just not there.  Not to mention, every time this offense comes off the field after a couple of minutes - that just puts the defense right back out there.  It’s a losing formula.

They ran the ball effectively last night and that was a breath of fresh air.  The issues were that after a few good runs they would immediately go back to try to hitting big plays, etc.

They need better play designs on short/intermediate routes - they need to give up WR screens to 170 lb WR’s (Not only do they rarely work, good chance they will get a WR hurt eventually)

The one type of  play that seems to work almost all the time and yet they only run it once or twice are the quick short and intermediate slants and cross plays.  Do they not see that they work?  Why not focus on those?  They typically get at least 6-7 yards and then sometimes can go for good yards with some YAC.

They really need to wake up and wake up soon if they expect to make any sort of run this year.

Thats my 2 cent Monday rant.  🙂
