I have no problem with a player refusing to play for a team in the draft.

NFL careers are short and fragile. If I were Caleb, or Luck, or some other once in a generation type of QB prospect, there is absolutely no way I would agree to play for a bad organization.

Theres just too much at risk — my physical health, my second contract which is potentially $60 million per year, and my legacy as a player.

No one cares that Elway or Manning leveraged their demand to play for the organization they wanted to play for. People DO remember that they played for over a decade and won super bowls.

I just dont understand his strategy of staying in college though. Every year, the top QB is drafted by an absolutely terrible team. When he stays in school, he is guaranteed to be drafted by another bad team in next year's draft.

The move would be to pull an Eli manning. Enter the draft this year and start making NFL money, and insist on a trade once drafted.

Tua took a pooha!

Tua just choked those last 2 plays away. Oh well, was hoping Miami would pull off the comeback. Guess not.

Zero IQ play by Tua there.  Field the ball standing and try to do something.  If they recover and return it so be it.

Ah F it. We get treated to more Taylor Swift "look at me" shenanigans now.

@mattwill

Sorry for the lateness.  Traveling last week and in cowpads country to start the week.  They really think they are better than the Eagles down there.  After the loose zones last week, I can see why they think they can prevail.  But their WRs are as fast as Wasteam’s. Concern over our RG should not be as concerning as their LT.  I expect Sweat will be a real issue for them and their RT really isn’t going to control Reddick all game.  Byard has had more time in the playbook and the rest will f the secondary had more time with him.  The zones will be tighter this week.  Plus, playing at home with the crowd behind them.

Eagles 41 cow pads 24

Bonus:  Sweat with a sack

Nonmaterial bonus: Davis tackles the cowpads middle school RB and they have to call in the grounds crew to find him crushed into the turf

With the down game Hill had, Tua another pedestrian performance, Mahomes good but not great…

If AJ gets 138 yards today, he’s the NFL leader and ahead of Hill.
That’s when serious MVP conversation begins

I have Seattle/Baltimore on boring CBS, or Washington/Patriots. I am too excited for the eagles game and have to get through these snoozefests first.

Sheldon Brown too

Sheldon played some as a rookie. Not a lot but he got some action for sure. Lito seemed tethered to the bench the entire time.

Picking something obvious like "X pass rusher gets a sack" seems weak IMO

I'm here for it.

Sanders officially benched.

Sanders has been battling injury all season.  Benched or sat so he can get healthy?  I suspect the latter as much as the former.

Regarding Caleb Williams...

I usually cringe when grown men assess the character of CFB prospects. Too many racial, generational, etc. biases show themselves.

But if I were an NFL GM, would I be completely comfortable drafting a kid who wails and pouts like a baby after a regular season loss and says after the game all he wants to do is cuddle with his dog and watch his shows? And this is the same guy who publicly made fun of less dramatic behavior (Max Duggan)? And the same guy who writes "F (whoever)" on his nails and wants an ownership stake?

This kid could be completely lost if he gets drafted to the wrong organization.

Sheldon's biggest memory from his rookie year is the home game against Dallas. Had 2 brutal hits on Dallas WR Reggie Swinton, one on a KO return, and one on a reception. Also had an INT in that game also, if I remember correctly. Wore 39 that year.

@mattwill

Eagles 27 girls 17. Swift over 120 yards

I didn't put it in my predictor, but I have a hunch that Julio Jones gets 30+ yards and another TD today.

Agree with you on strategy. You enter the draft and have a list of teams you’re willing to play for, then force a trade.

Yup and Sheldon was a standout on social teams as well as a rookie.
