I do think he genuinely cares for the players

A few are his sons... and others came with him from Jackson State. So, I have no doubt that he cares about these kids.  I also think he cares about his brand... which is why everything is "Coach Prime", not "Coach Sanders".

No one.  I just want football.

You have my score backwards

Thanks for the heads up.  Sorry I missed your earlier correction as well.

Listening to the very negative BGN preview od the Bucs game and they are talking about this "funk" the Eagles offense are in.  You would never guess they just came off of a game where they scored 34 points.

People talk about us having an easy early schedule and we should be 8-0 or 7-1.....wtf, Dallas has the Giants, Jets and Cardinals to open the season?  And they don't have to play the Chiefs or Bills and still have the Panthers.  Eaaashh.....Dallas really may go 14-3'ish.  I think our only hope is that we sweep them, Washington sweeps Dallas and we sweep Washington.  Otherwise, the Eagles can have a great year at 12-5 and still not win the division.  And don't get me started on the 49ers schedule. This has a Phillies/Braves/Dodgers feel to it.

On the other side of that argument, look at the schedule that the SF Giants had this year.  Their early schedule was a real cupcake that had them leading the NL West for a considerable portion of the season, but that left them with a murders row of 15 straight games in August and September where their solid pitching was much more severely tested and their wimpy hitting was exposed.  Tom Tolbert on KNBR predicted that they would go 4-11 in that stretch.  He was damn close.  They actually went 5-10 and fell out of the Wild Card.

With that said, NFL schedules are different than MLB schedules.  NFL teams don't play everyone the way MLB teams do.  But the "system" for identifying the year's opponents has been in place unchanged for decades, and it is designed to make the schedules of 1st place teams like the Eagles and 49ers harder.  Of the Eagles/Cowboys/49ers, only the Cowboys get a "designed in" advantage because they are a 2nd place team rather than a 1st place team.

Completely get that and understand, the Cowboys schedule just LOOKS easy for some reason....I know there are only a handful of differences in the two schedules.  This is a week to week league and easy teams can be hard and hard teams can become easy games.  I said the Eagles should finish at 12-5 (barring any major injuries to key players).  Looking at the Cowboys schedule, with the way they are playing, just seems like 13-4, 14-3 is well within their grasp right now.  But, let's see what injuries happen, if Dak starts being a turnover machine again and Dallas just Dallases.

It's still September.  Dallas likes to do this... We can revisit after Thanksgiving.

They are also head and shoulder above every other team in the league except for maybe the 49ers.

Some of us, sorry. I'm a huge Deion fan. I just hate the reaction to all of this.

I hated the way he treated the players when he arrived, basically running a bunch of the team.  Those kids may not have achieved success on the field but the treatment and the way he talked with them, basically college kids, was deplorable IMHO.

No sweat

Fun that of the top QBs that signed new mega deals this offseason (Hurts, Lamar, Herbert & Burrow) that the two that are most criticized and looked down upon nationally are having far more success for their teams than the other two.  Goes to show how wrong running media narratives really are.

Schefter reporting Bears DC resigned in part because of "inappropriate activity."

Whatever that means. If it was sexual harassment I think that probably would've been reported outright, but who knows. I really hope it isn't child stuff.

Glazer reporting Matt Ryan and Wentz told the Jets they're interested in signing with them. Jets as of now have no interest in either.

I'm not a Penn State fan, but that game last night against Iowa was one of the most dominant performances I've ever seen.

T.O.P

Iowa- 14:33    PSU- 45:27

Total Plays

Iowa- 33         PSU- 97

@mattwill

Well, this week’s prediction has been a struggle for me.  Losing Maddox was tough last year and the Bucs have a good group of receivers.  That defense is tough but the Eagles OL is too. They are banged up at DT, their best CB and LB though.  Even hurting, Vea will be a challenge for Kelce and Jurgens.  Evans and Godwin are a challenge for the Eagles secondary but giving Mayfield time may be an issue as long as Sweat’s toe isn’t an issue and Reddick should be getting closer on that thumb recovery.  Seems like the Eagles are treating injuries with kid gloves in practice.  Good D coaches in Tampa.  Think this one will be close.

Revenge gets the better of me in this prediction.

Eagles 27 Bucs 20

Bonus: OZ with a TD
