Perfect game to get Penny touches, minimum 10. While I want Swift to get touches, I don't think it would be smart to pound him into the Jets defense all day. Same goes for Hurts, especially for Hurts.

Time to start getting the dust and rust knocked off Penny. They will need a strong number two option to Swift going into the second half of the season. He goes down and we are in a heap of trouble. Let's get Penny going and if the coaches just have no trust there then go get someone else.

I agree with this sentiment 100%.  We shouldn't take the Jets lightly, but the NFL season is not a sprint.  It is a marathon, and the goal is to be the best and healthiest team at the end of that marathon , when the Playoffs begin.

I believe what is wanted is a reaction.

Sauce and DJ Reed are out.

Im going 27-13 Birds! Revised due to injury updates.

I'll tell you what, there might not be a better year for the Eagles to need a WR3 with WR2 potential in the draft. There are some truly special WR in college football right now. The Eagles need to take advantage of top talent if it's sitting there in round 2 rather than hoping a deep draft pushes WR down to round 4 or 5.

Eagles-27

Jets-14

Eagles defense has 5 sacks

One of the worst calls in football has to be running up the gut against the Titans D in short yardage. Whew.

Good news @bpac55

If we look at the team needs and their picks (listed at the end of this post thanks to Jimmy Kempski), Round 1

RT is the biggest need and probably will be the Round 1 pick given the depth of this year's OT class

The two Round 2 picks are interesting to project.  Your WR3 with WR2 potential is one of the possibilities for Round 2.  CB is another.  DE is also another.

I don't see RB, TE, OG, OC, DT, LB, or Safety happening before Day 3.

Round  How acquired
Eagles' own pick
Eagles' own pick
From Saints
Projected compensatory pick
Projected compensatory pick
From Vikings
From Buccaneers
Projected compensatory pick
Projected compensatory pick
Eagles' own pick, or the Titans' sixth-round pick, whichever is better

I tend to agree with you on your Hurts prediction.  This should be a pass heavy game.

One of WR/OL will be our first round next year, barring a player dropping way further than he should. Whatever doesn't get picked in RD1 will likely be one of our other picks.

We really do need to draft more LBs and RBs though. We could reasonably draft 2 LBs and 2 RBs next year and it would be entirely justified.

I agree on your RB and LB thoughts, but I don't think those will come in either Round 1 or Round 2.  With four Round 5 picks I suspect Howie can pretty easily get 2 LBs and 2 RBs after Rounds 1 and 2.

I didn't realize how much harder the schedule got after this week.

Technically that hard stretch would have started against the jets if they still had Rodgers

Are you excited for a 9:30 AM Super Bowl?

Lane Johnson is signed through 2026 and has said that's when he plans on retiring. I just don't see RT as a need right now. He's still playing at an elite level so I'm not using a pick to back him up for 3 years.

I've said it a few times as of recent, but the Eagles track record of picking in the 20s and below in the 1st is bad.

The last 2 that Howie was a part of turned out to be Andre Dillard at 22 (traded up for) and Jalen Reagor at 21. Hard pass on both player.

Drafting a CB is even more of a thorn in Howie's side. He's terrible at it.

I'm all for bringing in as many weapons as you can for Jalen Hurts. Be it TE/WR/RB. I want talented guys, not just a bunch of Jack Stoll or Kenny Gainwell level player.

It’s amazing how most NFL teams seem to have sacrificed the ability to catch the ball for speed at the WR position.

It would be a mid to late afternoon kickoff EST. And I’m actually ok with that

A 1pm Super Bowl > a 7pm Super Bowl.

Hurts would have scored on that play. Lamar bounced outside when he should have run up the middle behind the guard and center. He may not have scored but it would have at least been on the 1.

I’m thinking it would be 3:30pm kickoff. London, I believe, is 5 hours ahead

That's @EaglePhan1986 reaction every time he's the star in @hputenis horror movies. Chained up with a ball gag in his mouth, unable to escape, feeling helpless and gaped
