It’s weird watching Sam Howell not play against the Eagles. Looks pretty pedestrian.

I know a lot of people are tuned out right now because the summer acquisition period was not exciting. And people assumed its a re-set year.

Then the Phillies made their run and nobody cared about basketball starting. But now the phillies are over and not everyone realizes yet that this 6ers team is worth watching.

This 6ers team is a ton of fun.

They are a top 5 defense and a top 5 offense so far. And they are taking pride in their defense. Embiid is giving a TON of energy on the defensive side of the ball running from under the basket to close out on 3 point shooters. Youd never see that before. 

They have also improved their offensive rebounding significantly. They are simultaneously one of the better rebounding teams while also being a top 2 team in fast break points. Impressive to be able to combine those styles. Nurse has these guys going all out.

They havent lost since opening night (1 point loss to the Bucks with crooked refs and rust at the FT line). They are not playing down to lesser competition (previous teams would drop the game against the Suns on a weekend afternoon with no Beal or Booker).

Oubre who is known as a me first player who is a streaky and inefficient shooter signed here and said hes not here to fit in, hes here to stand out. Now, all you do is hear him gush about his teammates, and coach. He accepted his bench role, on a veteran minimum salary, and he is certainly standing out. 

We have the first team in history with 4 players averaging 20+ points through 5 games. Embiid is averaging 7 assists per game, and the scoring is beautifully balanced throughout the lineup.

Pat Bev is a notorious knucklehead known to say controversial things just to ruffle feathers. But his defense and work ethic is made for philly. We got him way late in his career, but hes not washed yet. Enjoy him while you can.

This team is fun to watch. And if you havent hopped back on the bandwagon yet, youre missing out. Aside from the on court entertainment they are providing, you have the Pat Bev podcast, and Paul Reed has created a pod cast. So now you also have more 6ers related social media content to consume which makes it even more fun. Kinda running parallel with the Kelce podcast starting during a very exciting eagles super bowl run. 

Next game is Monday at 7. This team is deserving of your eyes.

Said it when they traded Harden but the best thing to come from all of that mess is that Morey didn't sacrifice Maxey on a short term move. He's such a terrific player and should be a Sixer for a long time.

Did he say that or is it just reports?  You can't always believe everything reported.  

Maybe he did say he doesn't want to go to the Cardinals or whoever but it could also be someone making it up for a story.

Any scouting report I've seen of him states he works very hard, obviously extremely talented and is a great teammate and leader.

He is going to be the top pick regardless but we will see in a few years if he flames out like you think.  Personally him being consoled by his mom is a big nothing to me.  You guys feel it's a huge red flag.  We will found out.

No coincidence Barnett is inactive after the trade deadline. I bet they were showcasing him to try and trade him and it actually backfired since he was awful.

Eagles have put all hands on deck for ST this week.  I think they are afraid of a big play there.
