Just saw a cool stat, The Eagles are the only team this year to beat 4 Teams with 9 wins or more: (Chiefs, Cowboys, Bills and Dolphins).  They also beat Tampa and Rams who both have 8 wins and are most likely going to the Playoffs.  Just to put things in perspective of the schedule they've had this year.   The Dolphins and Bills wins are looking even better as both teams are roaring into the playoffs.

More likely a bust than not.

Every NFL unit is so interdependent.  

It definitely started with the secondary this year.  They were abysmal and teams transitioned to quick releases to neutralize the pass rush.  It was exceptionally effective because the secondary couldn’t even hold coverage for a couple seconds.  The defense couldn’t get off the field and the wear/tear/fatigue started to destroy the DL.  

This entire defense is built around the DL and the DL is built around interior pass rushers with questionable conditioning (Cox/Davis/Carter).  When the defense can’t get off the field and gets hung out to dry, the interior pass rush really falls off.  Reddick and Sweat have played way too many snaps themselves. 

So now we’ve got a DL that just isn’t generating much pressure.  I think they largely got screwed over to this point, but the fact remains that they aren’t effective anymore.

I went back to each game this season just to see how bad the defense has been at the end of first halves and at the end of games as far as giving up scores with two minutes or less and it was pretty much as bad as I thought: 

• New England: End of first half TD with 25 seconds left
• Minnesota: 10 play 75 yard TD drive given up with 1 minute left in the game
• Washington: Field goal with 1:39 to go in the half; Howell TD as time expires at the end of the game
• Rams: Nacua TD with 32 seconds left in the first half
• Jets: Field goal at the end of the first half as time expired
• Miami: Tyreek TD at the end of the first half with 39 seconds left
• Washington: Field goal as time expired in the first half; Crowder TD with 1 minute to go in the game
• Dallas: Field goal with 1:15 remaining in half; Almost imploded at the end of the game putting them in scoring range in two plays with the drive starting at their own 14
• Kansas City: Field goal as time expired in the first half
• Buffalo: Touchdown at the end of the first half with 12 seconds remaining; Touchdown with 1:52 remaining in game
• San Francisco: Touchdown with 38 seconds remaining in first half
• Dallas: Touchdown with 20 seconds remaining in half; Field goal with 1 minute remaining in game
• Seattle: Field goal towards end of first half with 1:42 remaining; Lock drive to score with 28 seconds remaining in game

That's 13 of 15 games where they have given up points at the end of halves or games. Bucs and Giants games being the only ones they didn't and they almost blew it at the end of the game yesterday.

No. If both teams win out, we are the 3 seed.

Cowboys shouldn’t count, they’re not any good, only win against bad teams and when the refs help them 😆.
