Fully expect a loss tonight because it's a bad matchup.

This is the game where the lack of team speed in the back 7 REALLY shows up. We only have one player in the back 7 who I would consider fast (Brown). Slay has average CB speed at this stage in his career. None of our LBs can cover enough space in the middle of the field to stop those Tua in-breakers. Edmunds is a zero at safety. Either Bradberry plays inside or we're putting Josiah Scott out there.

This is just the worst possible team to be facing in this context.

Frankly, we should be running a ton on 1st down to shorten the game and be willing to go for a lot on 4th down. Unless we get lucky with turnovers, that's the clear path to victory.

This game comes down to a few key things for the Eagles….

1. Offense - Own TOP and score TD’s when you get to the red zone

2. Defense - Tua will throw you some interceptions….we must actually catch them.

Do these things and we have a great shot.

Don’t and it is a sure loss.

Eagles - 27

Dolphins - 33

Same. If our offense turns an new leaf and tcan win a shootout or we’re controlling the clock, and sustaining drives, and our front 4 plays out of their minds, otherwise I don’t trust our secondary to keep up with the speed. Wether it be downfield or crossers, I’ve seen Bradbury get cooked way too much from average speed guys, I can’t imagine with a bunch of 4.3s and 4.2s running around out there.

I can’t believe they’re giving him snaps still.  Cut him bring in Frank Clark

The Miami game is going to be a tough one.  Our secondary speed is a glaring problem against the speedy Dolphins WRs.  They can't run faster overnight, just have to rely on schemes to limit the reliability.  The DL must get to the QB quickly to give the secondary a chance in coverage.  This is a test to the players, as well as the coaches to come up with ideas on coverage.  It is the game to show this team as a serious SB contender.

Eagles will win this game if they can establish and commit to the run on offense and can play with physicality on defense.

I have leftover takeout Hooters wings I’ll probably eat during the game. Let’s see if they have any juice left in them.

Love the Eagles tonight it’s my lock of the year. Most confident I’ve been in a game all season, they won’t lose to Tebow 1.5. Eagles are just a better team. 8 can’t get here soon enough!

I do feel like we're due for a game where the turnovers go our way.  Yes there's skill involved but there's a luck element as well.

The 2H safety look is likely a must given Hill/Waddle - do we play 8 in coverage thinking that our DL can get Tua with 3 (this is what Jets did to us occasionally)?

They can run too though. So have to mix it up and disguise well.

Huh? Tua is nothing like Tebow.

We don't have enough competent DBs for quarter personnel or enough coverage LBs for a true 3-3-5. But I suppose you could go with a heavy nickel 3-2-6 with Morrow and Dean in front of Slay, Bradberry, Jobe, Ghost, Edmunds (barf), and Brown. Not sure if Scott is ready coming off the street. Dropping a safety for another CB there with only 3 DL puts you more at risk for getting gashed by Mostert on the ground.

I complained quite a bit about the depth of our secondary early in the season but nobody else seemed to be concerned then. I think they'll change their mind after tonight.

I was thinking a standard 4DL front but with either Sweat or Reddick dropping to muddle some of the quick stuff to buy time for Carter/Cox and the other DE to get home/disrupt the play.  Normally, I’m not a big fan of this approach as I want my pass rushers rushing - but the combo of a 2sec QB release and a shaky opposing OL…

A game where we absolutely need to run the ball well to win.  Even with that, Hurts is going to have to throw well and put up 31 to win.
