Sure.  And the NFL was told by the turf guru NOT to water the Super Bowl field or else it would be too slippery.   And we all saw what happened.

It wasn't slippery in the Super Bowl, the whole f'ing field was coming up in f'ing chunks!!  Yes...I'm still f'ing angry.....the Eagles needed their defense to be the 70 sack defense, not be brought down to equal of the Chiefs.

Feels like a loss tonight. If we win though? Wheels up on the #1 seed.

Honestly, it doesn't matter about tonight, lose tonight....win Buffalo, win SF, lose Dallas, win last 4 vs. Seattle, Giants 2x and Cardinals, end up 14-3.  If that doesn't get it done then you can thank the f'ing Chicago Bears.

It did not rain at the Jets game.

Oh it was raining.

WTF.....the 49'ers play on Thanksgiving?  So basically they get a week and a half to get ready for us?

So do the Cowboys. Back to back games where the opponent gets extra prep time

At some point they need a statement game against a winning team. Wouldn't mind those games being against KC and San Fran. Couldn't care less about Dallas.

It matters because if you lose you need to win those others.  If you win tonight it gives you a little room to stumble elsewhere.  Also I don't think we're in a position to complain about other teams winning close games.  The first Commanders game and the Dallas game were one high odds play away from losses.

Agreed.

The 49ers and us are the only teams with multiple victories against opponents with 7+ wins.

We have those.

Don't disagree, but say they lost 24-17 to KC (no disgrace), then beat Buffalo 35-20 and SF 1,000-7 (I really want this one).....I'd be good.

@mattwill

Chefs 23

Eagles 31

Bonus: Eagles 3+ sacks

And they'll still find something to whine about.  Doesn't matter.

Eagles are home against the Bills... and then home against the 49ers.   Sounds like back to back wins to me.

Was the Miami game not 'statement' enough?   What about against Dallas?    What makes a 'statement game' against a team with a winning record?

@mattwill

Chiefs 38, Eagles 31

Julio Jones TD

I'm going to recant my Dallas statement. Geno hurt in Seattle so likely won't be getting much help from them. They may have had a chance but the short week Fs them and who knows if he'll be ready for Dallas on Thanksgiving. Going to need to take care of business in the NFC games. If they are to lose an AFC game I guess tomorrow would be the least impactful to the standings.

I'm talking a convincing win where everyone isn't having a damn anxiety attack at the end of the game. You know what I'm talking about. We have yet to see a game where both the offense and defense are playing at a high level at the same time... add STs if you want.

Gannon, surprise surprise.

Which is better?  6-3 with a 'statement' game.   Or 8-1 without one?    Isn't winning more of a statement than losing?    The record is the statement.   There are no bonuses for style points.

A complete game. What is amazing about the Eagles is they’ve been up by two scores in every single game but the first commanders game. And yet I would say in at least 6 of the 8 games they gone up double digits it’s been high anxiety trying to close it out

They only won those two games because of one sided officiating. If those games had been called fairly, the Eagles actually lose both.

Or so I heard.

Jets are closer to the Patriots than they are to being a contender.  Highly improbable win over the Eagles coupled with their miraculous win over Buffalo to start their season.  They should likely be a 2-8 team.

Dobbs with the Jets coaching staff would have looked like Dobbs has every year going into this one.  Jets are a very good defense saddled with an anemic offense, and I’m still not convinced even with Rodgers they wouldn’t be 3rd in that division.

Garrett Wilson went over 1100 yards last year with Zac Wilson, with even a half fit Rodgers he'd be looking at 1500, Breece Hall would find the going easier if the Jets had a credible passing threat and he's averaging 5.8 a carry now. The AFC East is a mess this year, they'd be a decent bet to win it with Rodgers.
