It begs the question, why wasn’t he drafted if he’ll be 100% by camp?

Im figuring they looked at his tape this year. Saw how much it affected his play, and said 100% or not, cleared by doctors or not, that knee is still affecting him physically or mentally.

Just pretend he was, at 124.

I think I read that Strong had his knee drained several times this season.

Unless we’re his doctor, we don’t know his status.

32 teams and their doctors didn’t think of that and decide he’s worth a shot late to see if he could shake it off?

It all seems fishy.

Why wasn’t corral drafted in the first, or Willis, why didn’t any quarterbacks go top 10, who really knows at this point

It does.

Do you think a higher profile player like him would pull something like the NBA prospects do?

After a certain round do you think his agent let teams know he would not report to camp? Allow his client to pick his spot where he knew he would have a chance?

I agree. Nakobe Dean slipped a bunch too.

GMs get conservative. They put a red flag on a player and then don’t consider them anymore.

Tbh if i wasn’t going to be a 1-4 round pick, i almost would prefer to be an UDFA so i could pick where I’d want to go and choose the best spot where i could make the roster.

That’s written as though he’s going to both simultaneously …. which would be awesome

If he did this it would have been reported. When Collins did this, everyone knew.

yep. Very common in round 2 of the NBA draft. NFL players are getting more and more, closer and closer to the player friendly deal the NBA players have. I wouldnt doubt that is happening in the NFL these days.

But Howie continues to monitor the situation.

Bull.  See back in 2017 offseason.   Stop posting falsehoods.

I did better than I thought I would.  Great work @Couch Potato!

@Iggles_Phan  Planting a garden this year?  Expanded mine this year.  Got the main garden planted today.  Limiting my buckets to peppers this year.  They go in tomorrow.    Thought about the zucchini in buckets but going with staking. Herbs tomorrow too  My perennials made it through the winter except my rosemary.

Lingering questions, I suppose.  Different opinions from different doctors.   Why did Dean fall from 1st Round, best LB in the draft to Round 3?  Eagles' doctors seem to think he'll be fine.  Other reports say he'll possibly miss the whole rookie season.  🤷‍♂️

Definitely a question to be answered.  Teams get scared sometimes.  I think the issue might be more about the long term health than the short term health... that is my main concern with him.  And the question with him has always been medical.  Now, there's the story of him trying to focus on that too much and not doing what they wanted in the interviews.  Lots of questions.  No real answers.  Time will reveal it.

I will be, but much more limited this year.  I'll be gone for so much, I needed to limit to things my wife would pick/eat.   And my life will be total chaos starting on Wednesday.

Kitchen remodel coming and it involves the entire first floor... so we moved all the furniture out of the living room and dining room... boxing up the kitchen, and making a make shift indoor kitchen to go with the grill and smoker.  So, the garden will be: tomatoes (of course), cucumbers, zucchini, basil, lettuce, spinach and peppers (lots of sweet peppers).  BUT... I've had some vines growing into the garden for years and haven't been able to squash them (pun intended) so I put down woven weed fabric across the entire garden space to try to combat the rhizomes this year.  Only holes will be where the plants are.   (Oh, and I am going to try some butternut squash this summer as well...)

I'll be staking my zucchini for the first time ever, I meant too last year, but was too busy last summer too and never even got them planted. Life is too crazy sometimes.  Likely picking up the seedlings for tomatoes and peppers in two weeks.  Zucchini, butternut and cucumbers seeds started.  Lettuce and spinach are up.

Really fun, and interesting breakdown of Dean. Fair analysis too of his pros & cons.

You post a lot of steelers stuff...you sure you're not bcarty 🤣

That really does seem to be the most thorough article out there on the subject though.

For reference, Myles Jack had an OCD lesion in his knee. He missed the remainder of the college season with it in 2015. He was not able to do any workouts. It dropped him from a sure top 10, to round 2. An "NFL source" called his knee a timebomb.

He played his rookie contract, and got a 4 year 57 million dollar extension in 2019. He plays one of the most physical positions and is going on year 7.

Carson Strong had this injury. He had a surgery. Teams actually got to see him play after the surgery. And work out during the pre-draft process. He went undrafted. Who the heck knows?

Yup...the article related to the steelers is sketchy also. The writer never examined any of his medical records. Even if he is close to healthy, which I doubt...I question long term health. 32 teams had access to much more than the steelers articles and passed on him. They can't all be wrong.
